This is an INCREDIBLY beautiful area. This may have been some of the most beautiful terrain I've ever seen or traveled to. The house is remote, but its in a beautiful area, and worth the remoteness. The temperature in the house was comfortable. The owner and his son were very very helpful and friendly. We expressed our interest in something, and they gave us some referrals, and even offered to take us somewhere. We didn't end up taking them up on it, but regardless, they were very friendly and pleasant. The owner didn't speak english, so he brought his son with him to translate.
The house was very dirty. We spent the first day of our 5 night stay cleaning the house. It appears they may not have swept and mopped the floors at all between guests? Just with basic sweeping and mopping, we cleaned a LOT of dirt off the floor. The kitchen, and various other surfaces in the house were not clean. There was mold growing in one of the pots in the cabinet. The blankets did not have washable "duvet covers", which means they aren't easily cleaned between guests. One of the blankets had a blood stain (or something else red...). We ended up going to Santiago De Compostela and buying our own blankets. There was not enough hot water for a 10-15 minute shower in the morning. There was automatic lighting, which was very sensitive, and VERY bright. That meant that if you slept with the door open to the bedroom, and moved around in your sleep, you were blinded by the automatic lights as they turned on and off all night. The internet was an LTE/mobile connection, not fiber, DSL, etc. download/upload speed was 2-15Mbps, latency was over 100ms. The house is very nicely remodeled at a glance, but up close, the remodel job was pretty poor quality (Electrical, finish work, flooring, masonry, etc). I mention that because this place was pretty expensive compared to most, so the quality matters. Also, you should know this house is AT LEAST 30 minutes from anything. 45-70 minutes from most major areas. That can be a plus or a minus to you.
