The New Wheel Inn

Very quiet location. I know they have music nights, but there was nothing planned the night I stayed. The staff are very attentive to the needs of people staying there. So I would suggest any noise would be kept to a minimum. My room had its own entrance around the back of the pub. So no need to go into the main building. Parking space is available outside, but only limited amount of spaces. Whilst Booking.com said food was not available, it is on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night/morning. So had an enjoyable evening meal and breakfast. The room and main pub was spotless. Staff friendly and efficient. Obviously the New Forest is on your door step. I am not aware of any local shops, but I was not bothered by that. Shower was excellent.

The room I had was in a roof space. Whilst the facilities and size was excellent ( twin room), you need to watch your head in places.

Full breakfast fine but asked for toast and bacon and only got 2 slices of bacon. Had to pay for breakfast and thought for the price of the room £90 per night (small room) it would have been included. Fruit juice etc was all extra as well. Coffee, tea and biscuits good in room.

Chair in bedroom very dusty and spindles broke. Very very small sink in bathroom. Didn’t realise the room would be up metal steps which was difficult for our dog.
