We just had a one night stay, so it was just a stopover. Food in the pub was very good. The cottage had everything we needed and was big enough.
The cottage is quite dated inside and in need of some tlc. The bed was not to my liking a little uncomfortable. The shower takes an age to get hot, then an age to get it to the right temperature. But we managed it was one night

We don't usually stay in one bed cottages because of space but for two nights this was a little gem.
Very comfortable and a decent amount of space - like a nice hotel room.
The little outside seated area was a nice addition - it felt relatively private considering it is in a pub carpark.
The Lion Inn - the pub next door and owners of the cottage was very welcoming and the food was delicious.
Bed was fine, shower was fine. Kitchen.was tiny - obviously, being a one bed cottage. But everything needed was there.
Location was fabulous. We used it as a base for visiting Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle, Puzzlewood, and the Forest of Dean - there were so many other places we could have visited too. We also took a wander through the village to visit Harold's Stones.
We would definitely stay here again.
There is nothing to dislike.
Only thing I would mention is the fan was not brilliant - but we had bought our own anyway.

Good location , interesting village, attached to a nice local pub .
We didn’t sleep well , the bed was very hard for our tastes . Skylights without blinds above bed meant there was light interference even in winter . The hob in the kitchen didn’t work . No recompense was offered even when this was reported ( a complimentary drink would have been a nice gesture)
