The room upgrade I got was not bad. It has a bathtub, and kitchen utensils I could use. The place is very close to the airport and there's a shop and a cafe in the hotel. It's like a communal living space with a sprinkle of luxury (bathtub). Quite strange, but not bad.
The room I booked for was dirty. You can see foot marks on the floor and in the bathtub area. I told the staff and they offered me a different room, which was better. But they didn't really prepare the new room, which was dusty, had no tissues, nothing was taken care of. Usually, when you move rooms because of the hotel's mistake, they would make sure to prepare the other room before you enter, make sure the amenities are provided, turn on the AC, etc. The TV and fridge were not plugged on and the dust was thick all around the place. I wouldn't complain if it was cheap, but this was ₱ 2,911.20 per night!!! I would have chosen another luxury place at the same price had I known this place would be unprofessional... But oh well.
