Perfect for a group weekend.

Stunning home. Large rooms & beds. Well set out. Great deck area and a brand new spa. All amenities we needed. We used it for the Bride & bridesmaids to get ready for the wedding. The pics are gorgeous.

A little too far to walk into Cowes.

A perfect place for our family's weekend away.

The property was perfect for our situation; a weekend away with our three adult daughters, son-in-law, and our two year old granddaughter. Our eldest daughter, her husband and granddaughter had the master bedroom at the front of the house, and we occupied the three bedrooms at the rear of the house. The house, including bedrooms, was spacious, immaculately clean, child friendly (with books and toys), well heated and generally exceptionally well presented. We did not use the outdoor facilities or garden due to poor weather.

A very minor point. We filled the large bath in the main bathroom to a depth of 15-20cm and, some time later, ran some extra hot water to increase the bath's temperature. To our surprise/disappointment, however, the hot water turned cold quite quickly. As I stated, a very minor which did not detract from our experience.

Beautiful home close to Cowes, nice entertaining area.

Large bedrooms with ensuits, washing machine facilities. Out side entertaining area.

Spa took to long to warm up. Needs a good service.

A large house with plenty of room inside and out. There were toys for the kids which was great and the spa was hit.

The house could have been cleaned more thoroughly, there was a bit of debris under the couches. The BBQ outside was filthy and unusable.

We found the property suited our needs and was very comfortable.

We stayed at the property last year with my family and this year we stayed with friends as we liked it a lot last year. The location is good and central for our needs.

We found that some of the bake ware was quite greasy and we had to wash it before we used them. otherwise everything was good.

Exceptional

Fantastic place to stay. We all had a ball. The house was enormous and certainly exceeded our expectations. The was clean and very well equipped. The hosts were clear and precise with instructions making our trip easy.

Excellent stay for our young family in this charming home

Excellent location and a spacious layout. Very well equipped kitchen and pantry. Quality design. Truly charming indeed. More like a mansion than a cottage :)

outdoor area was not clean and welcoming, would have spent more time outside otherwise. Kids room could be kept cleaner. Linen could be already put on - quite difficult to do on the bunk bed.

Unhelpful owner

Location is nice and quiet, fence is good both in front yard and backyard if you’re staying with a pet. Decor and rooms were nice.

Outdoor hot tub was dirty, water had a green colour and there was lots of brown stuff at the bottom. We contacted the host, he said the tub was cleaned the day prior which was such an obvious lie so I sent him photos and he said he’ll look into it but never apologised. We booked this place specifically for the hot tub and couldn’t use it but even worse the owner seemed indifferent to the issue. We felt shortchanged since we were not getting the only valuable amenity this house had, unfortunately only the owner can agree to a refund. I tried to escalate this with booking but I haven’t had any answer after a month. The outdoor couches and also pretty dirty. We found a dirty pair of underwear in the backyard. There were pieces of toys, paper and other random things on the floor and under the couch. Check each room if you come with a pet or a child as it could be a choking hazard. Garage is locked and not accessible so you will have to park on the street. There’s only 2 small couches inside so if you’re more than 4 people you won’t fit in the lounge.

Disappointing- promised so much but delivered so little.

The property was spacious and had huge potential. Beds were comfortable and basic furnishings were fine.

the place was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. Window shutter were dirty and hid dead flies, curtains were off the rails, range hood extractor filters were dirty and greasy. Light fittings were of a high standard but greasy and dirty plus most seemed to have broken globes. Bathroom shower grout was filthy and there were dead flies in the bath. The outside area was dusty and cobwebs visible on all surfaces. There weren’t enough glasses for the number of guests, no oven gloves, not enough plates and only one tea towel provided. Parts of the garden were well maintained however the area around the spa and bar b que were full of long, overgrown weeds. glass patio doors and fence around spa were extremely dirty. Rubbish bins were full upon our arrival and the panty shelves had significant dust build up so if you touched them there was a clear dirt line left.. Previous guests had left children’s drawings throughout and there were random toys all over the place. Overall this was the worst holiday rental accomodation that I have stayed in anywhere around the world.

Was lovely, just marred a bit by the lack of firewood (if we'd known in advance..)

Size of the house, location and that it was away from the hustle & bustle!

The window coverings in the back bedroom & family room could use some TLC, and there was no fire wood for the fireplace which was a bit sad! The spa didn't look as inviting as in the pic's.

The actual home was beautiful and really provided a relaxed feeling with plenty of rooms, beds and space for a whole family. Felt like we had everything we needed

Upon arriving the grounds were quite messy. The bins had a smell coming from them as they had not been emptied for some time. Entering the home, it smelt very musky as it needs a good air out. The cleaner needs to spend time cleaning cobwebs, spiders and external of property needs urgent attention from owners. The glass and doors were very dirty with murcky handprints and smudge marks giving it a unclean feeling. The kids had an old sock and biscuits on floor not cleaned after last rent. The projector didn’t work, the front fire place did not work. The spa needed to be heated up and it a whole night and day to turn on and warm up before we had to leave on last day - would have been nice if it was cleaned, filled, pre warmed to make most of that feature.
