The apartment was very well appointed with everything that one could possibly want for a short stay or even for a few weeks!
The location, one street back from the beach, with a sea view from the lounge area. Also, Koksijde is an ideal base for visiting Plopsaland and Brugge, which was our reason for being there. Access to the ferry in Dunkerque was so easy.
Owners were quick to respond to queries.
Unfortunately, the listing omits a few important things.
- the listing includes there being a lift to upper floors - it does not tell you that you first have to ascend 5 steps then another 2 to get to the lift. As someone with mobility restrictions and occasional wheelchair use, I believe that this is crucial information that should be included. The stairs, which are the only emergency exit route, are very steep and very narrow.
- very worryingly, all the smoke/fire detectors in the apartment seemed to be put away in drawers etc, with their batteries removed. There is no emergency/ fire plan for the building.
- another massive issue that is not mentioned in the listing is that the apartment is immediately adjacent to the tramlines ....... not just any tramlines, but a very busy and noisy one that runs from early morning to late at night .... earplugs might be able to block out some of the noise, but nothing would stop the vibration of the whole building!
- although free car parking is offered in a private and secure underground car park, it is a very scary manoeuvre to negotiate the incredibly narrow & tight chicane - we have a medium size car and I am an experienced driver & this was far too tight for my liking. Had I had the time or patience to have been able to work out how to navigate the crazy public parking system, I would have done so!
- an annoying issue is that you are expected to take out the recycling and rubbish, which in itself is reasonable, but the location for this is 2 blocks away and you have to pay for non-recyclable.

La situation centrale dans Coxyde et proche de la digue; appartement très spacieux, belle cuisine. Propriétaire très sympa.

Het is een ruim appartement, dicht bij de zee. Er is een private garage voor de auto voorzien. Een goed ingerichte keuken met ruime frigo en aparte drankenkoeler en goed werkende toestellen zorgen voor een aangenaam verblijf.
De airco in de living werkt perfect maar op de slaapkamers werkten ze niet allemaal. Er was storend lawaai van de tram, vooral 's morgens vroeg, viel dat wat tegen.

- L’emplacement est idéal à côté des commerces et de la plage
- il y a beaucoup d’équipements (même si un micro ondes absent serait plus appréciable que la cave à vin) et le box de parking est un plus.
- Les vidéos explicatives ( même si en français ce serait encore mieux)
- Le contact avec la propriétaire
-La literie cheap premier prix (nous sommes partis avec mal au dos)
- Le tramway qui passe sous les fenêtres et fait trembler l’appartement
- Le manque d’insonorisation (on entend la télé des voisins et merci les chaises traînées le matin à 07h!)
- Pourquoi devoir amener notre couchage et nos serviettes alors que les armoires en débordent?
- La cheminée à gaz qui figure sur les photos ne fonctionnait pas
- La vue de la chambre arrière sur les amas d’ordures des pigeons est répugnante.
