What a beautiful place to stay, we had the most wonderful greeting from the hosts and were shown around the extensive gardens to signpost all the amenities such as heated nature pool, hot tub, sauna etc. The gardens also have some wonderful places to sit and watch the river or sunset which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. We also enjoyed sitting on the balcony just watching the wildlife. The quality breakfast was served at a little table just outside our room which was a lovely touch. Since we travelled by e-bike it was great to be able to put the bikes under cover in the stables where there was power for charging. In short this is a superb place to stay.

Helaas is ons verblijf door het plotselinge overlijden van ons hondje, waardoor we eerder moesten vertrekken, beperkt gebleven tot één nacht. Ondanks deze verdrietige omstandigheden hebben we de rust en de prachtige omgeving enorm gewaardeerd. Huize Koempoelan ligt op een schitterende plek midden in de bossen. De kamer was prachtig ingericht en sfeervol, en ’s ochtends genoten we van een heerlijk ontbijt. We werden gastvrij ontvangen door Willemijn en Arthur. Ondanks de omstandigheden kijken we met een goed gevoel terug op ons korte verblijf.

Het laatste stukje, naar de B&B, als je de bossen in rijd is even zoeken. Maar wanneer je de oprijlaan hebt gevonden, en deze afrijd, dan komt er een prachtige accomodatie te voorschijn.

Het ontvangst, de omgeving, de kamers. Alles eigenlijk. Ze hadden op mijn verzoek een mooie fles champagne en een gigantisch boeket neergezet.
Dat we weer naar huis moesten.

The location is lovely, in the middle of nature and very relaxing. Rooms are gorgeous. Recommend booking both of the rooms, as there are just sliding doors and small sitting area separating the rooms - this is where breakfast is served and coffee making facilities shared. Also the toilet is shared. The hot tub is special, overlooking the river and cows. Staff is very friendly.
Not true: Pets welcome & at no charge. Our dog was asked to live in an outdoor dog house, not permitted in the house. The owners were kind enough to let our Cavapoo (who normally sleeps with us) stay in their kitchen but he was outside around 6.30 am. This was all very stressful. Our dog slept for a full day after this experience.
We were charged £10 per night whilst it was meant to be for free.
Policies didn’t state this as we would have opted for a pet friendly accommodation. The owners said the policies are laid out on their website but we booked through this site with no reason to check the website.
