Great location and very friendly owner, easy to communicate and provide instructions on check in. Fully equipped kitchen with essentials like salt, pepper, coffee, oil, etc

Great location and helpful staff. A pleasurable stay in Noto.
The room was right next to the road and sound proofing was non existent. Meant waking up every hour or so due to people talking outside or cars driving / hooting - even at 2am! Double glazing would solve it but not sure if that is possible as its a historic building.

I would love to have given a great review and recommended to others but sadly I feel I can't. The location was great and the bathroom and bedroom were clean. However there were several negative aspects. The outdoor area potentially could have been incredible, if it had been swept and the rickety table and furniture replaced or cleaned. Other negative aspects listed below. I feel if the host made a few essential and very simple changes he would get great reviews and it would be a top quality place to stay.
No key was left for us so had to wait half an hour for host's father to drive over and give us the keys. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink, or the outside sink (I think the pressure was too low, so only a dribble in the bathroom). No kitchen utensils were left - no chopping board, bread knife or even a sharp knife, so making breakfast was impossible. Only plates and glasses and a few knives and forks were left. No tea towel left and only a used old sponge/scourer left. The outdoor area wasn't swept very well and furniture was a bit dusty and bird poo on the sofa and chairs which could have been cleaned off before our arrival. The sheet on the bed was too small for the mattress so by the morning we often found ourselves lying on the bare mattress (as no undersheet or matress protector either).
