Me encantó la paz y tranquilidad que hay en el Hostel, la ubicación es excelente y los chicos que están haciendo voluntariado, unos genios! Gracias a ellos tuve una estadía hermosa! Super atentos, amables, limpiaban y ordenaban todo, me dieron info útil y compartimos muchos! Sin dudas, ellos hicieron lo mejor de mi estadía en varandas.
Las camas tenían bichos y amanecimos varios huéspedes picados, llenos de ronchas. La ducha de abajo tira patadas, es todo eléctrico. Los baños en general son lindos, pero a las duchas habría que sacarle el sarro para que salga el agua con más presión. El wifi no andaba siempre bien. Cuando estaba el encargado había un clima tenso, medio mala onda.

I chose to stay here pretty much for its location alone - it's close to the Rodoviaria station, the Trilha Praia do Forno, and a dive shop I'd be visiting. It's also a chill, quiet place (I wanted to avoid the noisy party vibe), which I appreciate. Wifi is good too!
Overall, the place is very basic. There are only two bathrooms. TWO! For a hostel that seems to have space for up to 24 guests. There's no soap, not even for handwashing (they had empty dispensers). Also, the bunk beds are a bit uncomfortable - I'm not a tall person by any means and I had to be hunched over in the bottom bunk. Plus, they have awkward supports below and on the side of the bunks which stick out rather than lay flat. They seem almost designed to hit you as you get in and out of bed.
All in all, it's an okay option for a short stay, especially if the location benefits you as it did me. But I probably wouldn't stay here again.
