Good stay

The location was perfect and the living room and kitchen were clean. They provided many games which were fun to play with the family.

Would’ve been better if they had supplied us with basic amenities like milk, bread , coffee and soap for the bathrooms. Had to go to the shops which were quite far away to buy these things. The bush outside also needed some trimming as it was overgrown.

Issues

Same chalet we booked years ago.

The toilet didn't flush properly since day one. Reported on the Monday as arrived Saturday. No reply for 3 days. Nothing resolved. Still didn't work. Sykes cottages that run the rental didn't resolve anything. Only the site management tried to help. Had bugs or fleas in the sofa. Many of us got bitten so couldn't use the sofa. Poor experience. No help. Wouldn't recommend staying. The next people would experience the same issue. No doubt. Haven't heard back from Sykes cottages regarding any further developments or if the owner knew. Ruined what could have been a great holiday.

Clean, spacious Chalet.

It was immaculate, with nice welcome pack and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay.

Just two issues, firstly no map provided so Chalet took a bit of finding as no logic to Chalet numbering. It would have been easy to provide as one in the welcome pack in the chalet! Second issue the timber decking at the entrance is extremely slippery in the wet.
