Being regular users of The Fern at various locations in India (Satara / Lonavala / Goa), we found the Rakabi The Fern - Igatpuri to be the best so far. While we saw the other properties not meeting "certain" standards in several fields, The Rakabi Fern - Igatpuri excelled in the following fields (which make a BIG difference):
- Room upkeep (maintenance).
- Room fridge cooling as per expectations.
- Bathroom cleanliness / maintenance upkeep (Wash basin tap aligned with basin and water falls without splashing / Shower water smoothly drains out and no water clogging due to blocked drainage).
- Hot water in bath always available and not irratic.
- Room window cleanliness high, making the view of the outside appreciated even more.
- Well maintained Gym equipment in "working" condition.
- Very helpful staff (Supervisors & normal staff).
- Clean tables in main restaurant.
We had booked only for 01 night, but due to the experience, we wanted to extend our stay, but could not as the Hotel was fully booked. It's a very rare experience for us to actually want to extend our stay as we loved it - which says a lot for the Hotel and staff at Igatpuri.
Please keep up the good work and PLEASE do not let the standards fall (like the other hotels in the Fern chain).
Special appreciation to Front Desk Supervisor - Mahesh, who was very informative and professional on all requirements.
Would appreciate following additions in the Gym:
- Barbells (Rods) and weight plates.
- Bench Press apparatus.

- In Room dining menu (Hard Copy).

Property is good but Restaurant has limited variety No bar available here

Property is by side of a busy highway. The room I booked for was not given. Instead of Mountain View room they gave me road side room. I paid higher price for Mountain View room. Though I had booked in advance they said hotel overbooked.
