We loved this fully modern boutique hotel inside of an old building in a very old city. We were welcomed warmly, and left our bags with the desk as we arrived early. All of the sights inside the walls are an easy walk from the front door, the amazing Roman columns only a few steps away. Our room was unexpectedly large, very comfortable, and remarkably quiet. I didn't even know there were other guests staying at the hotel until breakfast (which was fresh and delicious).
Others have mentioned the need to climb stairs to get to their room. It's only about six stairs on the outside of the building, but they are stone and taller than modern ones. Still, we are not young and we didn't have any problem. We were also easily able to drive our car up to drop our bags, and then take it back down below the walls where there was ample free parking.

The location is in the old town where parking is only available a short walk away. However, I had hurt my leg and when the hotel staff person realized I was limping she offered me a parking pass for one of two spots the hotel has for guest check-in. It was very kind and very appreciated.

The hotel is a really beautiful property in a great part of Evora - steps away from the Roman Temple and the Cathedral and right next to the aqueduct - and it feels like you’re staying in one of the local homes. The room was clean and comfortable with a very nice bed and good bathroom and shower. The roof terrace was an added benefit and was a great place for the sunrise or sunset with a lovely view of the city. The breakfast was nice and fresh and well-presented with a good mix of options and good coffee. Finally the staff were very helpful and friendly. A great stay!
