Nice place for a short stay. Place could use some better beds. Double beds didn't suit us.

The place was very clean and everything was supplied for self contained living.

The beds were too small for adults and the linen was not good.

It was very comfortable, cool and clean. A great place to relax after busy days.

The house was amazing. Lots of room and areas to relax. The kids loved the lap pool.

The wifi was poor and slow. The BBQ lighter switch is broken so we had to use a lighter which flamed up as it connected to the gas. Could have caused burn injury. A privacy door to the main ensuite would have suited us better.

It was fabulous luxury for us as we had been in Cape York for two weeks before. It was lovely! Thank you.

Area for kids and then adults! Pool was cold - but weather wasn’t brilliant!

It didn’t have a drier to dry the clothes.

Exceptional

Definitely a must stay for large groups, Phil is the perfect host, it was so nice to meet you Phil. A beautiful home away from home. Perfect location. Kitchen's has everything you'll need to cook for a large family. Every bedroom has own ensuite. Perfect for large groups or family, big enough that your not in each other's hair. We had a group of 6 (family), yet we didnt even need to use kitchen and lounge upstairs. As well as 2 extra toilets. We are definitely coming back next year. Thank you so much Phil for allowing us into your home. See you soon

could of potentially been a 10/10

Open and Spacious living. Bedding clean and comfortable.

the house wasn’t very clean, hair left in drains, mouldy food left in fridge, cobwebs in corners of corners and in cupboard’s, mouse poo in kitchen cupboards, limited pots and pans.

Two luxury homes in one with a private pool.

Very large home with two kitchens, 3 bathrooms and a massive living area. The pool was so much fun and great having it all to ourselves. Close to a park and a beautiful beach.

Could do with a little bit of minor maintenance. If you don't have your own transport its a little easy from the centre of town.

It was a wonderful and relaxing stay in a beautiful and spacious property

The property was spacious, well equipped and there is an enormous amount of space for couples, friends or families. The pool was huge and the perfect temperature and had shade and sun. the house was also close to the beach and amenities and well equiped the owner was super flexible and helpful and responded to any requests straight away which we really appreciated A great holiday experience and great value

it’s was stunning. perfect location. Phil the owner was very helpful and Sophie his helper was too. can’t thank them enough. it was huge, well laid out and had everything we needed.

A stunning property with beautiful furnishings. Some maintenance and sun lounges would make it extraordinary.

A stunning, spacious, contemporary villa-style property with lots of comfy lounge seating, a huge kitchen and great walk-in robes. The pool was great for a dip, and the beach was almost on your doorstep at the end of the street. The aircon was excellent in the hot, humid weather and the undercover car space came in handy at times. The shuttle bus picks you up at your door, and drops you wherever you want to go in town; so good!

Maintenance was lacking. If a few simple things had been attended to, we could have given a top score. The dishwasher came right out of the cabinet when you tried to open it. This was attended to very quickly. However, ensuite shower drains were badly blocked, the bifold doors in the living room were not easily lockable, and we discovered after four nights that they could easily have been opened from outside, door handles were in pieces. The kitchen sink mixer leaked badly and flooded one end of the bench and on to the floor. No sun lounges was a big disappointment as this was a big expectation next to the pool. Cutlery and crockery were in short supply.

The location is good and the house has so much potential

The house wasn't clean at all, we found a cup with lipstick marks on it in the cupboard, the pool wasn't cleaned, there were spider webs inside and dirt on the floors. The house itself is nice and has potential but it definitely needs to be cleaned better. A lot better. The house promises 4 bedrooms but beware, if you're 4 adults 2 of the bedrooms will be locked off, which is NOT specified in the ad, false advertisement. As a result one of us had to sleep on the couch, not everyone can just share a bed. Neither booking.com nor the owner were willing to do anything about it or reimburse some of the money. Definitely not worth the money, so many nicer places around Port Douglas you can choose from for a similar price. Well below expectations.

Pleasant

The house was extremely spacious and being a group of us it was nice to be able to spread out and not feel like we were living in each others pockets. The location was great and the restaurant across the road had amazing meals. Very easy to get into Macrossan street. We used the local shuttle buses.

The dishwasher wasn't working (which there was a note about). The house itself wasn't very clean. There was sand on the floors (obviously from previous occupants) and the pool was full of bugs etc.

home away from home - perfect for family getaways!

massive holiday house, perfect for families, right at the end of four mile beach. a home away from home with all the amenities at your fingertips ! The host was also super easy to communicate with and I appreciated his prompt responses!

it was so big, particularly for my group of five but that’s not necessarily a bad thing haha

Draws in the kitchen are abt funny to open and when cooking it’s hard to find what your looking for

Large residence for a group.

we picked this property as we could all fit together. 5 paddlers and all got their own room. a rarity find. we loved the separate facilities each room had and also the space.

we weren’t used to juggling between upstairs and downstairs kitchen for items but got it worked out quickly.
