Great place to stay at - especially if you do the Camino. It’s very close to the trial and the beach. The villa is spacious with all the amenities needed. The big patio is massive plus! The hosts were very nice. Overall I highly recommend this place to stay!

I have been using Booking for a decade, both in Portugal and abroad. This was certainly the best experience I've had. I decided to write in English, because Casa da Vila is a perfect example of typical Portuguese culture, in a charming house near the sea. The decoration, the furniture, everything thought to detail, the very design of the house itself, the location close to hypermarkets, the beach and the walking path along with the sea, everything is comforting and cosy. There are good restaurants in the bay. A word for the cleaning: immaculate! Remarkable!

My fifteen-year-old daughter has asked me to return to the Village House for longer stays. We surely will come back.

The front terrace deck area has been updated with murals painted and looks lovely! However as soon as we tried to sit outside - the next door neighbors dog went into overload with relentless barking throughout the afternoon and evening.

The beds are similar to sleeping on cardboard; the adjacent highway offered endless truck and motorcycle sounds; we had to purchase and replace toilet paper as there was one small roll available; the ocean view was microscopic.
