Very private and there are trees in front of the windows in the backyard on the other side of the canal.
It was uncomfortable to take the trash out between 6:30-8:30.

Location was very good. In a nice, quiet residential area. Very rarely smelt unlike most other areas of Venice which was a big plus. Had a nice balcony. Well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom.
Not much to be done about this, but the alleyway to the apartment was long and dark, luckily Venice felt very safe all the time so never was an issue.

Was next to a canal so it had a view of water. Good close acces to the bus depot for lugging baggage. Was a genuine old building with basic charm.
The place is just way too small like a hotel room to be called an apartment, the kitchen we didnt use as was pokey and would have made the place to hot. The air con (was August and humid) was really struggling with the lounge and kept cutting out (maybe a mainteance issue). I would spend some more $$ and stay in a decent hotel.
Way too much hassle getting acces with providing passport photos, standing outside the unit, maybe its a venice thing....not really comfortable giving strangers photos of your passport, understand on arrival.
