Great location, right next to the beach and newly renovated apartment.
- Location is right down to the sea and there’s several beaches to choose from.
- Apartment was very stylish and newly renovated.
- Pool attached to the apartment complex with great view over the sea. No one seemed to use the pool which was even better.
- Cleaning lady was extremely helpful and friendly. She was also flexible with times of arrival and departure.
- Plenty of parking spots right outside the complex.
- No need to worry about security as you need to go through a gate, a frontdoor and a door to your own apartment - 3 different keys. There were also security cameras.
Unfortunately the whole apartment complex and area seems to be infested with cockroaches.
- 10 roaches in the apartment (most in the bathroom), within 7 days.
- Several roaches seen outside the apartment, in the hallways.
- Owner seemed to not care about above issues, even after we reported it.
- Couch was extremely dirty and discoloured.
- Bedsheets had minor stains on them.
- Lack of finish around the apartment. Holes in the walls here and there, visible wooden plate in the ceiling and concrete pillars where the foundation was still visible around them.
- Door to the hallway does not completely close off at the bottom, meaning insect and roaches can come from the outside too.
For the problem with the cockroaches, we bought sprays and traps which killed them off as they got in the apartment, but that doesn’t prevent them from getting in there.
Specifically they are coming out from under the toilet, which has not been properly sealed and this also gave some bad smells at times.
I really hope the owners will take care of the issue as this great place gets ruined by things that could be managed.
