Surya Heritage Hotels

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Every member of the team was professional, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing prompt service and making me feel genuinely valued as a guest.

Can’t complaint

Very clean and neat , overall amazing rooms but not a great view as it is in middle of rhe city.

Food can be served better, as they kept serving cold food and beverages. Also not very helpful with iterinary recommendations and they kept saying there are no places around , but we found out about the fort , authentic Kerala food places and beaches. They can do better on overall hospitality.

Best property in Kerala where i felt I am at home . The staff members specially Jyothi / Vishnu all excellent . The ladies are am aging the show perfectly and never i felt that i am paying too much . The cleanliness of room / bath room / bed linens / wash towels were exceptional . The upkeep of rooms was perfect .

Breakfast and restaurant is not good . Lot of improvements is required even for Tea .

The location was pretty convenient for us to get around, the amenities in the room were obviously given some consideration - they had mosquito repellent and net - as there were some mosquitoes and insects around. So this is good as they have provided the necessary. Food was tasty!

They've spent a lot renovating the place so perhaps they could have provided a complete modern shower whereby they have both rain shower and hand shower too - but instead they had a bucket and pail as they didn't fix a hand shower. So if you don't want to get your hair wet you have to use the bucket and pail as the shower cap isn't gonna be enough when you stand directly under the rain shower. We were disappointed with the general amenities - pictures show a beautiful lawn with table and chairs to sit down and relax. But when inquired, the lady at the reception kept saying it's not accessible and was reluctant to allow us to sit at the lawn. Why? The room was just too dark to pack/unpack and get ready to go. The lights were too dim and there weren't enough light fixtures. No natural sunlight unless you roll up the blinds but there goes your privacy too. The hotel provides breakfast but unfortunately did not make it clear that there is no breakfast buffet (understandably because it's not exactly a hotel so the number of occupants at any given time won't justify a buffet as food will go to waste) But they must inform guests beforehand so we will be mindful of the same. We received a call to the room at 7.30am asking us what we wanted for breakfast and when we asked for the options it was limited to a few types of thosai, parotta, and puri. We were caught by surprise and had to quickly order something. After that, much to our dismay they only called to check with 2 of us but not the rest in another room. So the table was set up for 2 pax only. When inquired, they said the landline to the other room didn't work. It was totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Surely they can knock on the door to get the orders especially since breakfast is served per order. They were not at maximum capacity on top of that. It was just a few of us from one family in 2 rooms yet they could not attend to all of us.
