Hidden in the Welsh hills, I stayed here for a night to go to Dyfi bike park the next day. The host (Richard and Team) we're very welcoming and good for a yarn. Food was great, espcially the schnitzels! The place is all Wified up and rooms are comfy with streaming apps. If I weren't going on my bike the next day, I'd have probably sat there and had a few beers, it's one of those places!
The weather 😂 bike park was cancelled due to a storm. I can't think of anything I didn't like about this place. I would say though, it's pretty remote, but that's not a bad thing. They do close / run a skeleton crew through the winter.

I travel for a UK charity, delivering bikes to children with a new, or living with a diagnosis of cancer. I need to watch the pennies, so whilst driven by price and distance to destination, I am finding places which I'd be happy to come back to.
Arriving in the rain and the dark, the delight the next morning at the view reinforced the simple philosophy of 'the best things in life are free!' I had an estimate of the timing of my arrival being late, after ringing the hosts, they kept the kitchen open, which served a delicious chili con carne.
Lighting in the room to have a wet shave the next morning wasn't great :-)

Both the breakfast and location were perfect
Absolutely nothing.

Room was fine, had everything I needed.
Family run business, so service was mostly friendly and informal rather than professional. Was difficult to find staff on the couple of occasions I tried. I had to phone them to get someone to check me in (not the end of the world, but it was after the advertised check in time). Exception was the teenager who was manning the bar when I came down to dinner. He was borderline rude, and struggled to hide his annoyance that he now had to do something as I was the first to arrive for dinner. They seemed to be trying their best with the food, but unfortunately it was below average. Poor quality catering grade ingredients, not prepared very well.
