This was my second time staying at the Star Inn during a cycling trip, and both stays have been fantastic. The owners are kind and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable with great views, and the pub downstairs serves tasty food. Bicycles can be securely stored in the garage, and my wet gear was dried overnight in a drying room. I'm sure I will be back!

Room was fine, had everything I needed.
Family run business, so service was mostly friendly and informal rather than professional. Was difficult to find staff on the couple of occasions I tried. I had to phone them to get someone to check me in (not the end of the world, but it was after the advertised check in time). Exception was the teenager who was manning the bar when I came down to dinner. He was borderline rude, and struggled to hide his annoyance that he now had to do something as I was the first to arrive for dinner. They seemed to be trying their best with the food, but unfortunately it was below average. Poor quality catering grade ingredients, not prepared very well.
