La camera aveva un forte odore di fumo, probabilmente dovuto al precedente inquilino, perché assente nel resto dello stabile.

Location good as between old and new towns, exceptionally clean

I understood i could check in early but had to wait until 13.00hrs when i arrived at 10.30. Very comfortable bed and lovely view over the river/ bridge and into the newer part of town. The signage was not clear coming from the station. I spent almost an hour looking for the room, traipsing up and down slippery steep cobble stoned steps amidst the urban decay in the heart of the old town looking for Via Santa Lucia 52. No one could tell me where it was BUT walking down from the old town, the building is signed and tucked away in a corner, and very close to the river. Maps me and Google Maps did not help.
