I booked for the activities and social atmosphere that I know Viajero for, and it didn't disappoint. There are well-planned daily field trips and meetups in the bar/nightly activities to join. A large group usually went out together after, and I made a lot of great friends from mexico, latam, and beyond :)
The bed was comfy, there was a fan in the room, and there are a variety of amenities (coworking space, drinking water, bar/cantina menu available, social spaces, good wifi, private shower/bathrooms, etc).
Stealing - many of my roommates and some in another room were robbed of cash from their purses and lockers in my week-long stay. Keep all valuables on you and/or well guarded in reception's locked coat check room.
Safety - as a solo female traveler, the neighborhood (centro) is touch-and-go; some streets are safe (hostel is very close to tourist spots!), while others are not. At least, a tourist would stand out. Walking around at night isn't very safe. Not the hostel's fault, and we did often go out in groups, but do keep it in mind if you're coming to cdmx for the first time.

Locatie dicht bij het historische centrum. Personeel is vriendelijk.
Kamers zijn niet echt schoon, vieze vlekken op de muren van je bed. Gordijntjes zijn ook vies. Muziek tot laat heel hard. Geen warm water uit de douches. Zeep bij de badkamer was al dagen leeg en werd niet bijgevuld. Laatste dag zelfs helemaal nergens geen water, waardoor alle wc’s ontzettend stonken omdat ze vol met uitwerpselen zaten. Airco wordt niet uit hunzelf aangezet dus je moet elke avond vragen of ze hem willen aanzetten. Dit was mijn 4e Viajero hostel, alle andere waren echt top, maar deze viel erg tegen…
