We were looking for a home in the rainforest that was kid-friendly and close enough to town that we could get to restaurants and grocery stores within a few minutes if needed (you never know with small children). This home is located in a beautiful section of el Yunque - literally a 7 minute drive to Angelito Trail! It's a few minute drive to town, yet feels secluded in the best way. The host is kind, communicative, responsive, and has clearly done his best to make this rainforest retreat a familt-friendly space with boardgames and even a few spices to make cooking easy (and saving money on items that you might only need for a few days). With three rooms, there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and move around without being concerned about disturbing others in the house, or neighbors. Overall, a great getaway for our family of 5 with 3 small children.
Overall, no major complaints. The house is a bit difficult to find, but the host does a great job of providing detailed directions and being accessible to assist with navigating the mountain, as needed. I recommend arriving in the daytime to get familiar with the area if possible. We did have a power outage for a short period of time, and the hot water in the shower did not work, even when we tried adjusting it by turning on the bathroom sink at the same time, per the host's instructions. Other than that, we enjoyed the space and would return with our family if we make it back to the area.

The beautiful balconies and the living space
It was a bit way to difficult to find the house, the address was way off, plus since we were in the middle of the woods the phone didn’t had any signal for us to call or text the owner 🤦🏻♀️, but we finally after 40 minutes were able to find the house ..!
