The room had a fantastic view of Lion Rock. They served our breakfast on the deck the last morning we were there. The room is a bit rustic and not fancy, but you are in Sri Lanka so it was perfectly comfortable and had excellent air conditioning. The breakfasts were also amazing! We stayed here three nights and we had different breakfast each morning, all traditional Sri Lankan foods. The hosts were super nice and their kids were adorable. You can walk to many great restaurants too.
It seems pretty standard in Sri Lanka to not have shower curtains or glass doors, and this room was no exception. The water from the shower got all over the floor but there was a squeegee to clean the floor. Also the power seemed to go out each night when we went to dinner so even though we turned the A/C on before heading out to get dinner, the room was still hot when we came back.

We stayed for 2 nights at Sigiri Sandalu Homestay and it was pure bliss! Waking up in the stilted room to the sound of birds and the calm atmosphere was incredible. The view of Lion Rock every morning is absolutely unmissable. We also really enjoyed the hearty breakfasts and the great local tips shared by the lovely family. Everything was perfect—we highly recommend this homestay!

Had to extend as we loved it so much. Family were great and made us a lovely curry for breakfast. Loved them and their pets!

Nice place, big room, big bathroom. Good facilities. Average breakfast. Nice staff but they dont reply any message, so bad communication.
It’s a bit far for the town, you can find some restaurants nearby but if you walk 25-30min you arrive to the center town. Poor cleanliness.
