Beach House Hotel

The staff were amazingly friendly throughout. The positon of the hotel great 10 minutes to town walking. And other towns and venus all within 30 to 40 min drive. The food was excellent.

We liked the location, the view from the bar, lounge and restaurant and the ease of parking at the hotel. Breakfast was first class and the service was quick and efficient. The hotel was very clean and our room was spacious and nicely decorated. We enjoyed being on the ground floor and having the facility to go on to the patio for fresh air.

The bed in our room was too soft for our liking and the room was quite warm. We didn't have a window we could open, so would have had to open the patio doors for fresh air, which we didn't want to do, being on the ground floor. We felt the menu we got for dinner was quite limited - only three mains to choose from. We were not offered any alternative menu. Disappointed, especially when I had looked on the hotel website to see a sample menu prior to our visit.

The location of the hotel is excellent, wonderful views from the dining room also the lounge bar.

No faults with the property.

The staff were phenomenal and incredibly friendly. The room layout was perfect for travelling with three dogs.

Food was terrible, had to send back chips that weren't cooked and send back a salad that had really brown leaves. The mashed potato and chicken were both very dry and the mains came out within short minutes of the starter plates going back so felt, and tasted reheated rather than cooked. Gate not secure on the terrace, the dogs were able to just push it open. The additional dog charge was also a bit OTT at £25 per dog for one night.. So my three westies, staying for one night cost an extra £75. And the gate to the terrace wasnt even secured for them. Had the room and staff not been so good I'd have been fairly annoyed but it's been a nice weekend regardless
