I had the most beautiful weekend away with my dog at Little Crown. I wanted a few days of time to myself, somewhere warm, quiet, cosy and well equipped..and dog friendly. The cottage couldn't have been more perfect. Hosts were available but not intrusive, the place is designed and furnished tastefully and full.of character. Bed is so comfortable, with huge squishy pillows for lazy mornings reading under the covers.
Lovely little touches, and so welcoming of dogs..treats and poo bags provided.
If you are looking for somewhere local for coffee or food, or fancy a good stomp for a Sunday roast then I recommend The Market Place in Kenninghall. The food and coffee is amazing and the Sunday roast was outstanding. My dog and I walked from the cottage, following footpaths (maps provided in the cottage) and it was about 2-2.5 hours each way.
Absolutely loved our stay and have recommended to friends and family. Hope to be back again soon.
The only tiniest little thing was the heavy scents around the house. Most people absolutely love well perfumed rooms, but I'm really sensitive to them and they give me headaches so I had to put the room fragrances in a cupboard. That's more personal preference than anything.
