Timberline Lodge, Downtown Ellicottville - Near Ski Resort

Cool place to stay and would be awesome to book whole place with a big group. Kids loved the arcade game in the bedroom:

Odd smell and basement was cluttered.

The memory foam mattress and bed linens were heavenly. The fan and window ac did an adequate job refreshing the air and cooling the room down a bit for sleeping.

Finding the driveway in the dark was difficult. The sign for Timberline wasn’t visible until we drove down a little bit. The floodlights were pointed straight at us so the signature red crosses on the building were also difficult to see. Upon entering the lodge there was an aroma that was hard to identify and very unpleasant. Our window fan in the room helped dispel it. The bathroom light was very low wattage, good for nighttime but not for showering. There was no complimentary shampoo available, just moisturizing gel that didn’t pump out. A 3-in -1 body wash and shampoo could be a good solution for future guests. We were grateful for the mini fridge and two bottles of good water.

Proximity to downtown Ellicottville and Holiday Valley Ski Resort was fantastic. I loved that you could walk out the door and get to all the shops and restaurants downtown. And you're also extremely close to Holiday Valley, which was perfect. It was great to have a dryer to use, especially for the day where there was freezing rain. Space layout was nice for one couple and a friend.

Place was a bit dingy and somewhat dusty. Would not recommend using the public microwave-it looked pretty gross. Shower left much to be desired.
