With 305" average snowfall, 2,490 acres of inbound skiable terrain, 23 chairlifts, a 12,313 feet summit elevation and a 2,601 vertical drop. Copper is a "locals' favorite". The mountain is naturally divided from beginner on the west side (including "Green Acres, a gently sloping area for beginners with its own short chairlift) to expert on the east, including 3 Bowls and 3 Peaks (with free snow cat service to Tucker Mountain peak). With more than 140 marked trails (the longest run at 1.7 miles!), groomed cruisers, bump runs, trees, and steeps, everyone in your group will find terrain that satisfies. Master the Main Vein Super-pipe (navigate the Olympic-size pipe used by professional athletes & teams who train and compete here) and a terrain park with 13 foot half-pipe and a variety of progressive park features for all ability levels to have fun and hone their skills. Finally, Copper features the Woodward Barn action sports training facility, open for a fee to drop-in guests including families with kids ages 6+. One of the perks of Westlake Lodge is that no car is necessary. The Summit Express shuttle provides transportation from Denver Intl. Airport to first the check-in office and then the front door of your building. A grocery market, liquor store, ski/snowboard rental/tune, medical clinic, and a nice selection of shops and dining options: fine dining, apres ski happy hour, sushi, Mexican, pizza, brunch and more are downstairs in the charming Village! Other resort amenities include: grocery delivery service to stock your kitchen; nightly Dine-In Delivery to your door; daily childcare; Kids Night Out; group and private skiing/boarding lessons (for age 2 to adults) at the excellent Ski & Ride School; and Copper Loop on-resort shuttle service, Copper Coach Dial-a-Ride Service, and Summit Stage public buses between Copper and other Summit County destinations are all free to overnight guests. The Copper Mt. Spa & Athletic Club features a heated pool, racquetball, basketball, facials/massage, and more to drop-in guests. For out-of-state guests who may not own ski apparel, outerwear can be rented from Mountain Threads and delivered to you at Copper. Other winter activities at Copper Mt. and in Summit County include: cross-country skiing (25km of trails through the picturesque White River National. Forest); ice skating on West Lake (skate rental available); snowshoeing; Copper Mt. tubing hill; Critterland snow playground/activities for tiny tots; snowmobile and snow cat tours; sleigh rides; dog sledding; Moonlight Dine & Ski; concerts, festivals, and competitions (like the U.S. Grand Prix); and mountainside fireworks shows and Torchlight Parades. The fun doesn't stop after the snow melts. Come up and beat the heat! Summer activities at Copper Mt. and in Summit County include: Summer Snow Terrain Park; go kart track; zip line over West Lake; bumper boats & hydro bikes on the Lake; mini golf; climbing wall; Disc golf; bungee bounce ride; free scenic chairlift rides on the American Eagle lift (directly across the Lake from the condo); dining/drinks at Solitude Station at the top of the mountain (w/incredible views of the Ten Mile & Gore Ranges); Sunday Mt. Pose Yoga also at Solitude; nature hikes and wildlife spotting; bike/helmet rental for kids and adults (path/comfort, full suspension & fat tire bikes); road biking and bike paths; Cross Country Downhill Mountain Biking (ride up American Eagle lift and hit your choice of easy, intermediate, or advanced terrain); Copper Creek Golf Course (18 holes with the highest tee-box in North America, and optional golf bikes or carts); fly fishing; boating, rafting and kayaking; Chuck Wagon rides; ATV tours; concerts, races & festivals (such as the CO Cider & Beer Circus); and Copper Campfire & Fireworks (most Sat. nights all summer). There is no A/C in any of our properties. PARKING: Parking at Copper Mountain is strictly enforced. Most rental properties have parking space for one vehicle only. To avoid towing or a ticket, please adhere to posted signs and parking allocations at all times. If you need additional parking, an Alpine Lot permit can be purchased for $20 per night from the Resort. You can pay through a QR code or at the kiosk, which is located in the Alpine Lot.SHARED OR COMMUNITY POOLS / HOT TUBS / CLUB HOUSES: If amenities check lists includes a hot tub with this property listing, please verify before confirming your reservation. No refunds are provided due to lack hot tubs. All properties come stocked with a basic starter package of paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, hand/body soap, conditioning shampoo, dish soap, sponge and dishwasher detergent (this is a 3-4 night supply, guests may purchase additional products locally). Each home is equipped with high-end bed linens and towels. Kitchens are stocked with a coffee maker, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils and small appliances.WARNING: 4WD or AWD vehicles required in the winter, snow and ice will be on all surfaces including driveways and roads - no refunds for towing or cars that get stuck. Some homes require 4WD or AWD in the non-winter months due to dirt roads, and uneven surfaces - call for more information about your rental.COLORADO TRACTION LAW: Starting Sept. and running through May 31 of each year, all drivers on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero will be required to adhere to the traction law, which requires vehicles to have either four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with snow or mud+snow-rated tires, or specialized winter tires, chains or other traction devices for cars with two-wheel drive. Ensure you have the correct equipment when driving in Colorado.
