The most uncomfortable stay, ever

Location

Ok so, this was the most uncomfortable stay I have ever had, the mattress must have been the cheapest value mattress in the cheapest furniture shop in the Algarve. You could feel the springs, the cushions again were awful. The sofa was also uncomfortable. If your thing is going out at night and getting totally paralytic this place maybe fine, but if you like something nearby Ng any kind of comfort, don't bother. When I mentioned this to the admin I got a response saying the mattress was standard and didn't hear anything else from them. Shame really as the location is great, we've booked elsewhere for our holiday in Gale in September

There are so many good things to say about Homing Beach 1: it is in a fabulous location five minutes from a spectacular beach and far enough away from the crowds of Albuferia; it is close to a fully stocked and well-priced supermarket and great restaurants. It is very quiet. However, there are some small things that have a big impact that could be improved to make it an even greater holiday venue. While one tea towel is provided for each week you stay, there was no means to keep them clean and of use. In 25 years plus of staying in self-catering apartments, we have never had a situation where no cleaning materials at all were provided. We had to buy washing-up liquid, dishcloths, pan scrubbers, washing powder and surface cleaner. Similarly, there was no plug that fitted the bath and the sink and bidet shared a plug. Amazingly, many of the light fittings had no bulb, including one of the bedside lamps. The apartment had been cleaned before we arrived, but not appropriately ventilated resulting in black mould on the bathroom tiles and in the shower-head. Also, instruction on how to stay in the apartment - where the recycling facilities are, important phone numbers etc. - would have been very useful (and were expected). Our first task on arrival was to mop the floor because the fridge door hadn’t been closed properly and water had leaked. This is the first time we have rented an apartment from a company; usually we choose private owners. I am not sure if that is why we felt more like customers than guests. I understand the profit motive, but not to make the changes suggested seems like penny-pinching.

Gostei do apartamento estar devidamente equipado com tudo o que precisava e da limpeza.

O primeiro atendimento foi de alguém (sexo masculino) que não teve paciência para as minhas dúvidas. Tudo correu bem, mas podia ter um pouco mais de paciência e deixar-me mais sossegado. Como foi a primeira vez a receber a chave desta forma, Ia um pouco apreensivo, quando era suposto ir descansado.
