From the very beginning, staying at Helder’s place felt less like renting an apartment and more like visiting a friend. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a gift basket of local goods, which was such a warm touch.
Helder is a fascinating person, and hearing about his travels and experiences around the world made our stay even more special. His hospitality went above and beyond: he let us pick fresh figs straight from the tree for breakfast, gifted us a delicious fig cake and did everything he could possibly do to make our stay special.
The place is beautiful, dog friendly and there is a nice area outside with fruit trees, plants and plenty of grass. We did use the BBQ twice which was great too.
We had a peaceful stay and felt completely at home. It was a true pleasure meeting Helder and staying in his beautiful place and we can’t wait to come back!
