Breakfast was fine, a good choice of fruit, yogurt, cereal, croissants and toast, and dinner was excellent. Good choice of dishes, beautifully cooked and plenty of it.
The lighting in the room was rather dim. There was a good light in the sitting area and the bathroom light was fine but the lighting in the bedroom area was hopeless. Actually, one of the lights by the bed was not working and I didn't get round to asking for it to be replaced. The bed in Room 5 was apparently rather uncomfortable but Room 4's bed was OK. Pillows were a bit hard.

Modern in a historical setting- with fast ev charging facilities in nearby Yeovil .
Nothing / very high standard and no fuss . Staff very welcoming without any false bonhomie
