We had a very pleasant stay at Palazzo Lazzarini Battiala, an historical mansion converted to tasteful, small but functional holiday apartments. The host, Dolores and her husband, have warmly received us and shared a lot of recommendations for our stay. We had a car, which is necessary to move around, as the apartment is located in a quiet countryside village, which was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden, in the company of the local friendly cats. Everything was very clean in the apartment.
Labin is the closest town at ca. 15min away, where restaurant, shops and groceries opportunities can be found. Closest beach is about 25min away. Pula about 1hr away.
If we have to find a small defect: we have been cooking a lot at home (kitchen is fully equipped!), a slightly bigger dish rack could be useful.

L’appartamento si trova in un borgo e alloggiarci ti fa sentire per qualche giorno parte di quella piccola comunità! Alloggio molto spazioso, ben attrezzato, va benissimo anche per lunghi soggiorni. Finestre per godere della vista sul borgo, zanzariere. Un salottino dove guardare la TV e rilassarsi, una cucina con tutto quello che serve. Il tutto in una dimora storica di grande fascino. Dolores, l’host, è stata estremamente gentile e l’ultima sera abbiamo avuto la fortuna che il borgo ospitasse un festa con espositori di vino e cibo istriani. Un bellissimo modo per godere l’Istria autentica, passare un soggiorno di relax e silenzio, in un’atmosfera magica lontana dal caos delle località costiere, comunque a soli 20 minuti da Albona e dalle bellissime spiagge istriane!

Incredible authentic experience in a historic property. Very quiet at night. Peaceful village. Thank you for the warm welcome Dolores and the morning coffee.
