The house was in a relatively quiet residential area, although on day 1 and 2 from 8:30am there were tree surgeons cutting and chipping trees nearby and a solar panel installer drilling and cutting next door - neither permanent or expected! Just bad luck.
Very clean and tidy, with good heating and hot water. Nice towels and bedding. Nice new airfryer was useful in lieu of usable fry pans.
The property did not meet the legal fire safety (Fire Sensors & Sounders) requirements for a rented property (or even private domestic). There was a blank mounting plate in the hall, no alarm, and the wrong sensor type on the kitchen ceiling - there was no interconnection. Should have had heat sensor in Kitchen, Carbon Monoxide sensor in garage beside oil fired boiler, plus Ionising Smoke sensors in Hall, and Livingroom/Diner.
All the Frying pans in the kitchen ware totally trashed, burnt and ripped teflon (toxic), and severely buckled bases with heat - not acceptable.
Accessibility for our oldest guest was an issue with a steep drive and many steps - not obvious in booking specs or photos.
There seemed to be bacon fat inside the toaster which caused a fire when switched on... Very unexpected, but maybe last guest avoid the fry pans and did bacon in the toaster instead,

Great propertiy within walking distance of pubs and tourists attractions
Very clean with good facilities throughout
A couple of hooks for towels in each bathroom would be good
None slip shower mat for inside the shower cubicles would be helpful

Great location for exploring Kielder, lovely quiet area, beautifully decorated, easy check in, beds very comfortable, well equipped with all the necessities required. Would highly recommend and looking forward to staying again in the future or trying out other properties this company has to offer.
I think the drains/plumbing needs to be checked as there is sometimes an unpleasant smell in the kitchen and bathroom. The parking on the drive is not the best m as it is up a steep hill, I chose to not park here as I was worried about my handbrake. However, there is space to park out of the front of the property if other residents aren’t parked there.

This is a bungalow in a residential cul de sac,
Steep drive for one car only. off road parking in front of property is used by local residents Pleasant enough bungalow if you don,t mind being overlooked both back and front. Felt sorry for the neighbours. Not suitable for holiday let.
Only felt comfortable with the curtains drawn.
