Booked for 1 night, extended 2 more nights because Ive not seen a better place than Alphas Homestay!! Had soooo many beautiful experiences.
1 step outside of the lodge gate and the wildlife already starts. Saw so many beautiful animals every day when riding from and back to the lodge ❤️ Many giraffes, gazelle’s, buffaloos, hippo’s and pumbaaas!
The animals are all very calm, they have the perfect life over there.
You dont have to book a park safari since youre already in the wild. No fees attached.
Theres plenty of hiking possibillities and the Kenyan people over there are very nice and welcoming.
The ladies were very welcoming and made very good breakfast and dinner; no shortcomings. Oh, and also the best Dawa Tea ❤️
Then the hosts, theyre literally amazing! Chris & Muthoni made sure that I got the real Kenyan experience, being as nice as they are; invited me on a multi-day road trip all the way to Mombasa 🥰

I had such a lovely stay at Alpha’s Homestay for my birthday! The drive to the property was an experience in itself. We saw so many animals along the way, including giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and more. Lake Oloiden is also just a short drive away, and it was absolutely beautiful at sunset.
The house itself is gorgeous and has such a warm, homely feel. If you love dogs, you’ll especially enjoy the big, friendly dogs around the property. I genuinely felt very well taken care of throughout my stay.
One thing I really loved was being able to choose what I wanted to eat. The food was amazing, and it gave the stay that lovely balance between a homestay and a hotel. The pool was also fantastic, and there are so many little spots around the property where you can just sit, relax and enjoy the surroundings.
And I have to mention the shower! The hot, high-pressure shower was so good. 😂
I’d definitely recommend Alpha’s Homestay, especially for a solo trip if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and homely, but still with those little hotel touches. I absolutely loved my stay

The location has no equal with lots of wild animals around, the house is beautiful, the food is good, and the best: the people. What a wonderful experience!. We'll definitely come back.
Warm showers only in the afternoon or night, not really in the morning. That is the only thing that I believe could be improved.
