La cordialidad y orden que hay en el recinto. La rápida comunicación que se puede tener con los recepcionistas y la puntualidad en horarios del desayuno. Me fui muy contento de haber estado allí. La ubicación es muy buena a una cuadra de la bahía. Excelente todo.

The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was simple but great for starting your day. We didn't use the pool, but it looked good and fantastic if you wanted to refresh. The air conditioning was silent and cooled the room pretty fast. The staff was very kind and willing to provide tips for the city, transportation, and such. They also gave us warnings about where to walk safely after dark as the hotel is surrounded by some unsafe streets.
The hotel is located in a "tolerance zone," which means that there are many homeless beggers, and we were told robbery is quite common as well if you walk at night in certain streets.
However, as I commented before, the staff gave warnings about which streets are safe. If you go straight to the promenade and avoid flashing expensive devices, you will be OK.
The windows in the room are not soundproofed, which means that you will hear al the cars and trucks passing by.

I spent two nights at hotel Zamay in July 2023. Price through booking was very competitive. My room was basic (no windows), but was clean, had A/C, a (cold water) shower (you don't really need warm water in Santa Marta!). My bed was comfortable, with clean sheets, and the WiFi always worked spotless. 24h attendance.
In the main hall there is a small swimming pool, with a shower. The included breakfast is sufficient: fruit with eggs, arepa and coffee/juice. Location close to the main sights, going out area and bus station/market.
The staff was helpful and friendly: they stored my luggage safely for 3 nights during my visit at the Tayrona park, and at my return allowed me a quick shower before leaving and called me a taxi at the standard price.
Location is ok at day; at night it might look a bit dodgy (prefer walking up from the "malecón"; don't take the internal streets).

The room was not well cleaned, and there was a shortage of water in the shower. Some guests or visitors arrived at almost 3 am, making excesive noise. I didnt feel safe nor comfortable.
