This was such a fun and unique place to stay! Magdalini and her mother Mary were so welcoming and friendly. Mary picked us up at the port and also took us back to the port when we checked out. The yard and view from the windmill was beautiful! The kitchen was stocked with lots of delicious food that was all locally sourced. Mary even gave us some amazing figs fresh off of the tree! The location is great. We really enjoyed exploring the town of Ano Syros. There is a bus stop very close to the windmill so we walked through Ano Syros & down to Ermoupoli then rode the bus back up to the windmill. The entire experience was fantastic!!
The only negative is that due to the unique shape of the windmill, it can feel a little cramped. The wonderful experience definitely outweighs any negative, though!

Everything!!!!! What a unique and wonderful experience this was, Mary and Magdalini wonderful hosts, the village of Ano Syros is so beautiful and charming, had some amazing food,visited local attractions rode around Ermoupoli, and visited many beaches, memories made here that will last a lifetime. Highly Recommended 💙

It was a very nice and truly memorable experience. The windmill has a top location in Ano Syros, with beautiful views over Ano Syros itself and also towards Ermoupoli and the port.
There was strong wind during our stay, but this is not really a disadvantage, as it also helps cool everything down. The windmill is very cleverly furnished and makes excellent use of its relatively small floor footprint, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The hosts, Maria and her daughter Magdalini, were very helpful. They waited for us on arrival and had left the fridge fully stocked with goodies. Every two days, they refilled the fridge with various items that you could use to prepare your own breakfast.
The location is excellent. All beaches can be easily reached by car in no more than 20 minutes, and the main town is only about 8 minutes away by car. There is also a spot in the garden that is sheltered from the wind, so you can sit outside comfortably without being bothered by it.
For us, this was a truly magical place, almost a landmark experience. Our dog, Sisi, also enjoyed the property very much. Thank you for accepting pets and for being such good hosts.
The only thing "missing" was a washing machine, although I can understand that the available space inside the windmill is limited.
