Jane was very welcoming told us a little bit about the history of the house. Gave us a downstairs room which was ideal for my husband. We had a lovely walk in shower with a seat. Always great to have parking on the premises. Breakfast well cooked with good choices. Help yourselves to Cereals, Toast, Juices, Tea & Coffee. Will definitely go back next year

Very friendly and attentive owner.
Excellent cooked breakfast and good choice of cereals.
A lovely historic building.
Convenient location for the railway station, harbour and town centre.
Comfortable, well-equipped bedroom.
Limited serving time for breakfast may not suit everybody.
Maybe a better quality option for coffee drinkers would be appreciated?
The street sadly does look a bit neglected in parts, but certainly did not feel unsafe and proved to be quiet overnight.

A lovely 19th century building with many original features. The original staircase was superb with carvings on the newel posts. The dining room ( formerly the billiard room) was impressive with a very unusual ceiling and original highly carved fireplace. A comfortable sitting room was adjacent to the dining room and guests could make hot drinks at any time, a welcome facility.
Our bedroom was large and was in one of the gables, an interesting shaped
room.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast had wide choices and was excellent.

Fantastic location with generous parking. Breakfast was excellent and we were able to have a cooked breakfast early as we had early starts to our day.
