The self check in and amenities area was nice, efficient and well organized. We loved the themed rooms, record player, and overall aesthetic. Super cute!
The soundproofing isn’t great. We could hear people walking above us. Some furniture pieces seemed like they were in bad condition. Some fixtures were loose, lights not operating properly, and other things that made the property feel like it was overpriced. We found some items that had been left by the previous guest (empty booze bottles, socks) which made it feel like housekeeping wasn’t that thorough. Also the mattress could use replacing. It was pretty lumpy.

We had such a wonderful girls’ weekend at The Herwood Inn. The King Suite was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details.
Adam was incredibly responsive and made everything feel seamless. One of the highlights was relaxing in the courtyard and cedar wood tub after dinner—it was the perfect way to end the evening.
The location is also ideal: close to Woodstock’s shops and restaurants, but still peaceful and relaxing. We’d happily stay again.

It’s called ‘luxury,’ but the furniture is very old, and it didn’t meet expectations at all, as you can see in the pictures.
They should definitely refresh and replace the furniture, as it feels more like camping than a luxury stay.
