I stayed for three nights in Tirana at Guest House De Rada, and I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end.
From the very first moment, my host, Kamela, was incredibly kind and helpful. My flight arrived close to 1:00 a.m., and she offered to have her husband pick me up from the airport. As a solo traveler visiting my first country in the Balkans, this felt like such a blessing. I had been considering taking a taxi or using a ride-hailing app, but having someone waiting for me at that hour made me feel much safer and more relaxed.
Her husband picked me up at the airport, and Kamela herself welcomed me at the guest house around 2:00 a.m. Despite the late hour, she was so warm and welcoming. She also gave me very useful local tips, including information about ATM and card-machine fees, how to use the public buses, and, when I was leaving, the easiest and most affordable way to get to the bus terminal. These little details made a huge difference during my stay.
The room was simple, but very comfortable and had everything I needed. I felt safe, comfortable, and at home during my three nights there.
The location is also perfect! It is about a 10-minute walk from Skanderbeg Square, and there are supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and everything you might need within easy walking distance.
The price is also very reasonable, especially considering the location and the fact that you have a private room with a private bathroom.
If I return to Tirana, I would definitely stay at Guest House De Rada again.

Location: close to centre , bus station to TEG and bus no. 5B to Tirana Veri-Jug bus terminal.
We just stayed for 1 night, and everything was ok
