Overpriced

If you have little kids the pool with the slide is fun for them. If you are in trouble finding the place, look on maps for Cool runnings Westfalia and you'll find it, not sure why they didn't tell us right away. The beach is nice, but is not maintained.

The place isn't ready to be rented and it is not priced correctly. This is a big mistake for places that are new. Check in was painful, they didn't know about our arrival, kept saying we booked too late (14 days prior), they later said it was an error in the booking system (??) and they apologized. Never happened before. The place seems new, however a bunch of construction defects make some things quite annoying. Bathroom door gets stuck, one window doesn't close properly (noise, mosquitoes welcome). WiFi absent. AC is only in one room. The property is next to a street, traffic at night is low, but can be annoying. Not as much as the neighbors though, which decided to have a party with loud music until late at night. The place is super clean including the small bar and swimming pool they have until you reach the public beach filled with trash. I get it, it is not your property, but it is in front of it, does it cost much to pick up the trash? No, in fact I did it for you, it took me around half hour and very little effort. They priced this property $160+tax a night for the two bedrooms apartment, a famous 5 star hotel in La Fortuna with hot springs costs just a bit more around $190. To give a sense of how much they got the price wrong. We got a discount (because we asked, it wasn't offered), but I can't in good faith recommend this property to anyone at this price until they fix few issues and still lower the price. I usually don't like to give bad reviews, but you can't expect people are happy to waste their money like this.

Very good

A brand new accomodation which was very clean and well-equipped. It even has a little kitchen and plenty of space. The air condition works well. It is located next to a main road which is loud during the day but quite at night. Right next to the accommodation is a bar, a restaurant and the ocean. The owners are friendly. There are parking spots right next to the building. All in all, a nice place.

At the time of my stay there was no mosquito net, so I couldn't open the windows at night. A trash bin and cutlery in the kitchen was missing. So, some little improvents are necessary :)
