Breakfast was good but from a small selection and small plate. Common seating areas are nice. The house is lovely restored and well kept. It is in a nice neighborhood but it is SA so electric fences and security cameras on all houses, walk around at your own risk. There is no reception 24 hours and only guests sleeping at night.
Our room did not have privacy, with windows facing the entrance, no sheers on the windows only black out curtains and right by the main door to the building. Bed wasn’t comfortable, and room had very little space to move around. Neighborhood is quiet but very hilly. You would have to take transportation to most of the places of interest.

A beautifully maintained property, clearly renovated with great care and attention to detail. The common areas are lovely, and the facilities are excellent.
Unfortunately, the room was located directly next to the entrance door, making it extremely noisy in the evenings and nights — every guest passing through could be heard clearly. The old building also means that sounds from neighbouring rooms carry very easily. For future guests: bring earplugs and specifically request a room further from the entrance.
Breakfast was disappointing. We waited 40 minutes and were served only one slice of sourdough and one slice of French toast — not what one would expect at this level.
The staff were friendly but at times seemed a little overwhelmed. A small but telling detail: the parking gate was broken from day one, and when we raised it, the response was simply ‘ah yes, this happens’ — not quite the standard one would hope for.
Finally, who we assumed to be the owner or manager walked through without greeting us or even saying good morning. For a property of this calibre — and at this price point — that felt like a missed opportunity.

Breakfast was great. We loved particularly the croissants!!!! The location is lovely and the ambience of common areas very cozy.
The room, #3, was very very small for two people and regrettably very smelly and dark. Just as an example if the door of the bathroom is open one of the guests cannot enter it (it has to first close the door and then enter). This was an even bigger problem for my husband in crutches.
