This is an exceptional property, and we felt very privileged to spend 3 nights there. All hosts obviously rent out their properties to make some income, but it was clear from the outset that Branko actually loves renting his place out, and that he has gone out of his way to create a fabulous environment for guests to stay in. You can tell this from the way that he greets you on arrival to sort out your parking and familiarise you with the property, the way that he has taken such trouble to stock up the fridge with numerous items that provide food for breakfast and/or lunch, and from the fact that he makes himself so available to answer any queries that you might have about what to do during your stay. One great example of this was his extremely specific recommendation to book Table 11 at 19:30 at Montana Gallery, which we did on our first night, and were absolutely delighted with the food and the service there. We arrived at The Birdhouse needing some quality rest and relaxation, and that was exactly what we got. If you want an ideal place from which to explore the delights of this beautiful region, then look no further than The Birdhouse, as I would be amazed if you didn't fall in love with the place. Thank you Branko for creating this wonderful place to stay, and for your friendliness, kindness, and amazing attention to detail in all things. If Booking.com ever creates some sort of 'Superhost' status, then you should be top of the list!
Quite honestly, there was nothing that we didn't like, although I would advise you that there are steep climbs to be negotiated here, together with very uneven cobbled streets, which is actually part of the charm of the place, but needs to be a consideration for older, more infirm guests thinking of staying here.

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation is so cozy, full of saul and unique personality, and has a truly special ambiance. The views from the bedroom and the terrace are absolutely fantastic. Plus, the host is more than wonderful—incredibly helpful and welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

L’expérience de cette location est 100% positive, sans aucune exagération. De la relation avec Branko, qui nous attendait pour nous aider à transporter nos bagages, jusqu’au séjour dans son appartement fabuleux par sa vue, sa décoration et son agencement, situé dans un splendide environnement. Le tout, et ce n’est pas son moindre atout, sans faire carte postale fabriquée par un professionnel du tourisme, mais création d’un amoureux véritable de la région et des gens, soucieux de le faire partager à ses hôtes.
