Located in the quiet heart of the Crystal Coast, you won't have to compete for the perfect beach spot. Enjoy the best of both worlds only one block from either the Atlantic Ocean or the Bogue Sound. A variety of restaurants and local attractions are just a short drive away. Vacation just moments from the very best Emerald Isle and the charming seaside towns of Beaufort and Morehead City have to offer! Buoy Oh Buoy is outfitted with everything (everything!) you will need for a perfect beach getaway - chairs, umbrella and Shibumi sunshade, beach towels, a beach cart, coolers, commercial ice maker and even a margarita machine! There are two kayaks for an adventurous day on Bogue Sound. If you prefer to be active on land, Buoy Oh Buoy is located on Emerald Isle’s, safe, well-maintained running/walking/cycling path, near Mile Marker 13.5. After fun in the sun, Buoy Oh Buoy has a hot-water outdoor shower to rinse off. There are two hammocks under the house where you can unwind with a great book. The deck offers a gas firepit and a hammock porch swing—perfect places to continue reconnecting with your loved ones. Inside, the kitchen is meticulously equipped to turn your groceries into fabulous meals. No need to worry about hauling anything to the beach—the kitchen has a large refrigerator with ice maker, high quality cookware and cutlery, loads of chef’s tools, an enameled dutch oven, bakeware, and a slew of small electrics, including Kitchen Aid stand mixer, Breville ice cream maker, slow cooker, panini press, food processor, Nespresso Pixie espresso machine and Keurig coffee maker. The outdoor gas grill allows you to serve up summer anytime of the year. There's plenty of dishes, glasses, and utensils. Afterwards, don’t waste precious vacation time scrubbing; let the dishwasher do the work! The primary suite is located on the top floor with a queen bed, large walk-in closet, full bathroom, and a private balcony with seating for two. On the main floor there are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed and closet space to unpack. The main floor bedrooms share a full bath, which also houses the large capacity Maytag washer and dryer. All beds include premium mattresses, cozy high thread-count linens, and extra pillows. High quality bath and kitchen towels are also provided. On rainy days, gather in the living room and enjoy a movie from our beach-themed DVD collection or stream your favorites on AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Disney Plus, or Peacock. The hosts were amazing. The property was a cool beach cottage tucked away in Live Oak Trees. Anything and everything one may need for a trip to beach, these guys made it accessible to their guests.

Buoy Oh Buoy! was as excellent choice for us. It was very pleasant inside and out with outstanding outdoor equipment and very nice furnishings throughout the interior. We did not have time to even begin to give all of the outdoor equipment justice. We would have loved to use the kayaks and the fire pit, but we were just too busy. We did use the wheeled cart to take chairs and a cooler (great selection of coolers, and the chairs were very nice) to the beach, and the cart performed beautifully! The kitchen was wonderfully well equipped. I wish that I had known that for coffee we needed pods (Keurig and Nestle espresso), and I would have liked a way to heat water for tea other than the microwave. Minor things, and the lovely welcome package had coffee pods (& many other things) to start us off. It also included dishwashing soap, laundry pods, & dishwasher pods, all very helpful for people who had traveled by plane. Thank you for a wonderful place. We would definitely return!

A perfectly lovely property that the owners have put a lot of care and effort into making the best possible rental experience one could want. Everything was clean and convenient, with tons of extras that make spending time in the property and on the nearby beach extremely easy and enjoyable. The hosts where very communicative and you can tell they care deeply about their guests and their guests experience. Will definitely be returning soon.

The house was fantastic, and the beach was even more fantastic. The house was clean when we arrived, and it seemed to have everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, so we were able to cook most of our meals at the house. The beach was just perfect. Tons of room to pick whatever spot you want, and the water was amazing the entire week. Couldn't have asked for a better week at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Buoy oh Buoy is as advertised. The house was clean when we arrived. All of the extra amenities provided make your vacation that much easier. We loved the space at the Beach. There is no need to get there early to get a spot because it is not an issue. Hard to believe in July. The Shibumi and the beach cart made trips to the beach easy. The commercial ice maker eliminates having to get ice every so often. We liked Buoy oh Buoy and would definitely stay there again.

Our experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we saw the welcome basket, we knew we had chosen a great rental for our family getaway.
The kitchen at "Buoy Oh Buoy" was awesome! It was abundantly stocked with all the essentials - From cookware to appliances and gadgets, everything was conveniently available. We had a blast preparing meals together and enjoyed the convenience of having everything we needed right at our fingertips.
This property is just a quick walk to the beach, allowing us to easily indulge in endless hours of sand and surf.
Buoy oh Buoy had beach chairs, umbrellas, and even boogie boards available for our use. Although we brought our own, it is good to know that Jason and Andrew have every single item you would need for a day at the beach.
The ice machine was my favorite feature. The hammocks were a close second :)
Overall, our stay at "Buoy Oh Buoy" was an incredible experience. The property exceeded our expectations in every way, and the attention to detail was amazing.

This home has been by far the best we have ever stayed in. We had not been to EI in over 10 years and I am so glad that we decided to come back this year for vacation. Jason and Andrew have created more than just a beautiful beach home. This house lends itself to a stress free and pampered experience. They have thought of everything. We only brought ourselves and luggage. Everything for the beach was provided. The ice maker was fantastic! The house is nestled among the trees which provided a private and secluded feel. Close to the beach and close to the sound, it was convenient to everything. We enjoyed sitting on all of the porches and especially loved the hammocks. The kayaks were such an added bonus and we enjoyed several sunset paddles on Bogue Sound. They have spared no expense in outfitting this home with everything you need plus things you wouldn’t find in an ordinary beach house. There were none of grandma’s furniture hand me downs. Everything was beautifully decorated yet not presumptuous at all. We still felt relaxed. It was almost like a boutique hotel and beach house married. The kitchen would make any cook happy and has top quality cookware, pans and cutlery. EVERYTHING was nice. We felt so spoiled and welcomed, like we were staying in friend’s home. You can feel the love they have for this house and the appreciation they have for their guests. True Southern hospitality at it’s finest. We didn’t want to leave and will be back. Great location, excellent hosts!

We loved staying at Buoy oh Buoy! The house was very clean and well decorated. The owners were excellent in all communication, and even left us a welcome basket with goodies. The beach was beautiful. The walk to the beach was very short and flat. We would highly recommend staying at this vacation house!

Booked for the weekend to stay at while in the area for my sister’s wedding. Absolutely wonderful place to come back and relax at. The firepit was perfect, the beach is just a short walk away, and the hammocks were great to lounge in. There’s even a plethora of recommendations for activities to do in the area (even taking into consideration if it should rain). Very clean, well stocked (includes a little gift basket!) and bright. The only downside is that the weekend went by so fast. I wish I booked just one more day! Jason was incredibly responsive, and checked in on me during my stay to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a 5 out 5 experience.

This property was exactly as listed online, maybe even better in person! Only minutes from the beach and the bay makes for a quick trek to start your day. The beds were maybe the most comfortable I have ever stayed in - a definite plus! We would come back to this rental in a heartbeat!

Our stay at Buoy Oh Buoy! was great! It's location provided easy access to a beautiful beach. We really appreciated the care taken to welcome us. We received an amazing welcome package, complete with a note from the owners. The kitchen was so well stocked, making cooking dinners quite easy. We especially enjoyed spending time on the front deck, sitting in the colorful Adirondack chairs or swinging in the rope swing. Thank you Jason and Andrew!

Boy Oh Boy this was a wonderful place to stay!
The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more. The fire table was wonderful for the chilly evenings.
The amenities were amazing. It was nice not to have to bring beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc. The owners were very responsive and available if needed. We opted to unplug and just enjoyed the ocean and all of the activities available on Emerald Isle and in the area.
It is situated centrally between The Point and Fort Macon so getting to restaurants and activities was easy. An easy walk to the ocean for beach fun or the sound for kayaking.

If you are on the fence about renting this place, just do it. You will not regret it!
The host was friendly and quickly responded to questions or concerns. A lovely gift basket was a welcoming sight after our long drive. Below are the aspects of Buoy Oh Buoy that made our stay enjoyable:
- The hammock porch swing on the deck and the hammocks under the house were great for relaxing. Each morning I enjoyed a cup of coffee while reading on the porch hammock.
- A comprehensive guide was provided with detailed instructions and restaurants to try.
- The good quality beach gear (umbrella, towels, and chairs, and coolers) along with a beach cart to push our items to the beach made our daily trip to the beach easy and relaxing.
- Short walk to the beach.
- The ice commercial ice maker - very convenient.
- The kitchen contained high quality cookware and chef tools. If we thought of an appliance or cookware the Buoy Oh Buoy kitchen had it.
- Beautiful fire pit with comfortable chairs.
These small things would have made it better. Please be mindful these minor inconveniences were not mentioned to the host as we noticed them and I have good faith that if we had mentioned it to Jason, he would have quickly responded. Many of these were quickly remedied with a quick run to Food Lion and we would DEFINITELY return and recommend this location for a relaxing vacation.
- A small broom and dust pan available in the kitchen to clean up small crumbs. There is a Dyson cordless vacuum, but the broom and dust pan are easier in my opinion.
- Full bottles of cleaning products (multi-surface cleaners and Tub & Tile spray for shower) and anti-bacterial wipes in the bathroom and kitchen. The ones provided were almost empty (there was only one Clorox wipe in the container, and Lysol multi-surface spray bottle was almost empty). We drove to Food Lion and purchased some to use.
- Extra kitchen trash bags - we only had one trash bag for our five day stay.
- Large cob webs on the balconies and chairs - expected in nature but bring something to wipe them if you have a fear of critters as I do.
- A small brush for cleaning dishes - would have been helpful in cleaning the colander (a dishwasher does not remove all of the food particles).
- Master bedroom bathroom not enough toiletry space for more than one person or I may just have too many toiletries.
- Refrigerator H2O filter needed to be changed. We had bottled water

We loved everything about our stay. After making the long drive from New England, we were greeted with a very thoughtful welcome basket. That was a VRBO first!! The house had everything we needed (and more!) The kitchen was outfitted with high-end items, the bedroom and bathroom linens were luxurious, and the beach chairs were so comfortable we never wanted to leave the beach. The owners thought of everything guests would need. Probably one of our best VRBO experiences. Thank you, Jason and Andrew!! It is clear you really care about the house and your guests.

We knew from the listing the property would have what we needed to enjoy our stay, beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. But we didn’t know until we got there that everything would be top-of-the-line. There were surprising little extras like a Margaritaville machine, the newest board games, a gorgeous Kitchen Aid fridge. Our hosts were extremely responsive and thoughtful, putting together a thorough welcome book and thoughtful welcome gift. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

What an amazing place to stay in Emerald Island , it was our first time at the island and this property made everything extra especial . They really have everything you need, just bring your clothes . Everything is top of the line and well above our expectations for a beach rental . the kitchen has absolutely everything you need to cook ( I am talking really cook, excellent pots and pans, knifes , bowls , all kinds of gadgets .. ) , The walk to the beach is a breeze . We create lots of memories hanging by the fireplace, kayaking and just enjoying everything .Jason and Andrew are super hosts and made the process very easy and stress free (and we loved the 12pm check in ) Definitely recommend and we will be back.

We had a great experience at this home. It is very nicely furnished and loaded with anything you could possibly need. You can easily walk to the beach or the sound. The hosts are generous in the sharing of their beach equipment and we were greater with a lovely welcome basket of snacks and necessities. It was very comfortable. We enjoy doing puzzles in the evenings and the large coffee table gave us the room to build on. Plus they have a large collection of puzzles, games, and movies. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The house was beautiful and in a very good location. The welcome box was a nice touch. We enjoyed use of the beach chairs and the Shibumi! We loved it and will probably be buying one for our daughter...you should get a commission! ;-) My husband liked the availability of the kayak as well as proximity to a launch site.
My only complaint was the height of all of the beds. A little too high for those of us who are vertically challenged! :-)

Beautiful home with everything you need!
Just a minute walk from the beach and the sound, this house was perfect for us! It was so nice and clean and WELL STOCKED! We had so much fun swinging in the hammocks and just hanging out playing games. We drove from Arkansas and all we brought were clothes…they literally had everything we needed. Our boys just loved it 🥰

Beautiful as pictured
From the moment we walked through the door, we felt welcomed, it was so beautiful and smelled amazing. Was a perfect centralized location for all the activities my family had planned, Mac Daddy's, Aquarium, Parasailing and pirates in Beaufort, and of course BEACH. Speaking of beach, it was only a 4 minute walk away. Definitely recommend if visiting the Crystal Coast make Buoy oh Buoy a place to stay!

This was our first trip to Emerald Isle and we loved it. Renting this property was the main reason for our wonderful experience. The description of the listing was 100% accurate. The amenities provided are great and will allow you to pack less which means less to stress over when making your trip. The property owners couldn’t have been better. They communicated throughout the process from booking to returning home. They definitely go out of their way to make your stay feel like home. The welcome book at the house was extremely helpful and well thought out. It wasn’t just a generic list of what to do and where to go. It is presented in a way that makes you feel like you have a tour guide with you. If we make a return to Emerald Isle, we will book this listing again!!

This home is absolutely lovely and in a great location on Emerald Isle. The owners literally provide everything you could ever need for you stay and your beach days, which is incredible and made for such a relaxing time away as well as easy travel. The beaches here are clean and beautiful, the walk to the beach will take you two minutes. We 100% recommend staying here and we plan to rent it again in the future, we really didn’t want to come home. :)
