About this house rental

Nestled in West Custer Township, this lovely house for $189 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Tiny is 11x42 and features full size appliances, full bath, full length deck, two picnic tables, propane grill, and a Solo fire pit, wood provided. The house yard is set aside for guest use only. No through traffic or host visits. There is also a rented "Teeny Home" about 150' from Tiny Home. There is a privacy fence between the homes, and each home has its own access. The property is 8 acres with a little creek running through it. Guests are welcome to move about the property, but please to not knock down the hay in our field. We mow and put it up in late July, then it is clear for roaming. There is a utility shed behind Tiny for your LAUNDRY needs. Laundry soap, towels, bedding, generic coffee, cookware, dishes, utensils, condiments, and firewood are provided. Please bring your own bath soap, shampoo, and ice. There is a queen bed downstairs, a twin XL bed in the loft, and a queen sofa sleeper. A little mezzanine adjoins the loft bed area for a place for kids to play. The private yard is ample, and right across from the deck is Black Hills Forest land. Near Tiny Home (about 40 yards) is Teeny Home of the Black Hills (designed for two guests). Teeny has its own private driveway, and there is a privacy fence between the homes. The TV is Roku with Discovery Plus and Netflix installed. Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, Rushmore Cave, Rushmore Adventure Park, Reptile Gardens, and Bear Country are easy drives from the home. On three sides of the 8 acre property is public land (Black Hills Forest), one side is County Road, two sides are public countryside, and one side (over 100 yards away) is a well kept, quiet, 20 acre horse camp. The home is on a county GRAVEL road about six miles from the highway

If you want a quiet place to relax and unwind this place is perfect. Every night we got to watch deer play in the field below us, listen to the elk. The only disappointment was having to leave. Will definitely be back.

If your looking for a place out of town and away from the crowds this is the place! The home was perfect for our family of five! We loved watching deer every evening, also seen elk in the early mornings leaving. The yard is the perfect size for the kids to run around and play. The Teeny home is the perfect distance away to have your own privacy!

We had three adults and two dogs and did just fine in this tiny house. Everything we needed was there. It is in the country and we enjoyed seeing the horses. Only thing I would recommend is to upgrade the patio chairs. Overall nice stay.

We had a great stay at Tiny Home! We were a group of 4 - a grandma, mom, and two younger kids. I most enjoyed that we all had our own sleeping space - kids in the loft, grandma in the bedroom, and mom on the pull out couch. The evenings were cool so we didn't have to use the AC at night, just opened the windows. We didn't use the grill or fire pit but both looked nice and easy to use.

The Tiny Home in the Black Hills is in a wonderful location off the beaten path in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It was a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns, Custer and Hill City. Only 15 minutes from Custer it was easy enough to visit the local grocery store or eat dinner at a local restaurant. The house is located within 30 minutes of Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Wind Cave National Park. It was a great peaceful quiet setting for relaxing in the evening after a day of exploring the wonderful Black Hills.

Perfect location for what we needed. Spent a good portion of our time hiking area trails with our dog and returning to Tiny Home away from people was relaxing and energizing. Excellent communication with owner. Highly recommended!

Love the cabin. Cute and relaxing. Quiet, no loud close neighbors. Set on a hill overlooking a small valley. Had a full size kitchen. Had a long driveway to walk our dog. Stream ran all the time we were there. And behind cabin was forest land. Had a deck around three sides of cabin for sitting and relaxing no matter which way the wind blew.

This place was perfect! Away from the hustle and bustle of being in town. So peaceful and beautiful. Perfect place for my fiancee, myself and my dog. The scenery is beautiful, the stars at night seem to be only a mile away like you could reach out and touch them. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

My family, the dogs and I absolutely loved this place. It’s in the Black Hills and it gives you a feel of truly being in the middle of nature and nowhere but a short 10 to 12 min away is everything from Crazy Horse to Custer. The communication with the owners was great. I walked around the property every morning with the dogs and we really loved using the grill and enjoying the fire pit. Great place to see all the stars! We will definitely be back. This home met all of our needs and more. Kelly

This tiny home was perfect for a week long stay with our 2 furry pets. It's a good location if you want to explore Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and the older towns of Hill City, and Deadwood. We had a great time with the abundance of trails.

We stayed in the "tiny" (not teeny) cabin and it served us perfectly. Small footprint but felt open and airy with the large windows and patio door. We had (3) adult males and never felt crowded. Cabin was well stocked and comfortable. Loved the firepit. The remote location was great for star gazing but not very far from Custer. Host was very accessible. We really loved our stay.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The drive to and from the house was scenic, and you are 20-30 minutes from Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. So if you want to stay in a beautiful, quiet location, but not far from the action, this is the place!

Great location once we got our bearings. At first we felt like we were a little concerned. But, once we realized all “side roads” were gravel, and we were just moments away from Custer, crazy Horse, and the jewel cave we were thrilled. Our dog loved the morning walks around the property. So quiet and beautiful.

The property is gorgeous!! So many stars! The house is perfect for base camp to get to Custer park and Rushmore. The food in town is over priced so cooking at home is a good idea. The Prairie Dog food truck on 4th is good with great prices! Make sure you sit outside at night with all the lights off listening for the owls!

We LOVED our stay at Tiny! Plenty of space for us 3 adults. Having laundry on-site was a huge plus for us, too. The location is central to all area attractions yet so calm, peaceful, and beautiful to relax at after a busy day. Enjoyed bonfires at night and stargazing at the breathtaking sky. 100% recommend to anyone traveling to this area-if we are ever back this way again we would definitely stay in Tiny!

We loved that this house was close to everything and yet away from the crowds. My favorite part was waking up early, drinking some coffee on the deck while searching for wildlife. We had one issue the first day, but discussed it with the owner and she remediated the issue right away. We would absolutely stay here again.
