About this house rental
Located in Oak Ridge, this attractive house for $250 per night is a great option for your next trip. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay on Melton Hill Lake. Ideal for Family getaways and gatherings, private relaxing time, base camp for exploring east Tennessee (Windsock Off Road Park is 15 minutes away, Smoky Mountain National Park is 45 minutes away), and work trips. Conveniently located within 5 minutes of Oakridge, 10 minutes to Farragut, and 20 minutes to Downtown Knoxville and the Airport. This Basement Ranch has 3 Bedrooms and 2 Full Baths, the Master Bedroom and other 2 Bedrooms all have queen beds. There is also a living room, Dining Room-Office, Kitchen, and a Large Family room that has a queen sleeper and 2 sleeper (twin size) chairs. The Kitchen is well equipped with cookware and most everything you would need to fix any meal. On the exterior, there is a front balcony style porch. The back of the house features Upper and Lower deck/ porches. We just added a brand new hot tub In March 2022! It sits in the covered patio at 101 degrees. The house is right on the water so it is excellent for Kayaking, canoeing, SUP (Stand Up Paddle board), water sports, and fishing. We offer 6 kayaks, 2 SUPs, all the paddles and lifevests and 2 Mountain Bikes for our guests use. Some of the best fishing in Tennessee is right in this lake! You can also enjoy a campfire at the fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We offer 6 kayaks, 2 SUPs and 2 Mountain Bikes for our guests use. We also have 13 - one size fits all lifevests and 2 helmets. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis with a pet fee. There is a fenced in are about 50' X 70' with 2 gates for access to the pet. To access it, you will go outside the Sunroom door (opposite of the deck) and walk about 15 feet to the gate. Please keep your pet leashed until inside of the fenced in area. We supply a starter set Coffee, Dish Soap, Laundry Soap and Hand Soap in addition to TP, Paper towels and a complete set of towels and linens for your whole stay. You have access to the whole 1 acre of property, the lake, front house and the Sunroom. There is a back in-law quarters that is not accessible at this time, it is the owner’s area. We do not typically stay in the house while there are guests, however, if we have a contractor or a delivery coming in (like the hot tub added in March 2022), we do stay, but will give notice to the guest as soon as we find out. There's a two minute video on youtube of the house. Title: The Lake house-Knoxville The bar, fireplace and wood paneled part of the house is the owners area, guests do not have access to these areas. For the security of our home and the safety of our guests, there are 5 total cameras for surveillance. There is a Ring doorbell and 4 other cameras for security. *Monitoring the Driveway. *Monitoring the Garage/Laundry/Supply area. *Monitoring the Lake/Boat from the patio. *Monitoring the Fenced in dog area. We are not intrusive and want you to enjoy your stay, we've positioned the cameras away from the interior of the home. Unfortunately, security these days are a necessity and we have to protect our home. Thank you for understanding.

Perfect getaway with water up all year round. Good fishing even in December (caught perch and a striped bass). The most organized VRBO place we have stayed. A lot of little extras such as a stocked coffee bar (with a Keurig), fire starters for the fire pit, and marshmallow sticks. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this place.

My daughter and son- in-law moved from Dallas to Tennessee for his job. We helped them with the move and stayed longer to see Tennessee. The house was beautiful and wax supplied with everything you needed. I would definitely stay at this house again!

What an immaculate house! Hosts thought of everything! So much attention paid to all the creature comforts! Beds and bedding is A+. Kayaks and paddle boards are in terrific condition and easy to take to water and launch. The lake was the hi light and we enjoyed lovely peaceful paddles in gorgeous surroundings. Conveniently close to downtown and Smokey Mountain National Park. Excellent ling weekend getaway. Coming back with rest if the family soon!

Great location, close to the town, marina, trails, shopping... House had a lot of room, very spacious and clean. The host was great, very friendly and accommodating. We will come back! Our dog had a lot of room to run around and play. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a very relaxing and clean place that we could just enjoy with our family. Doing the kayaking and smores at night was just a bonus. My family enjoyed being able to fish right behind the house so you never got bored. There is always something to do and we will be back!!!!

This is a fantastic place to stay! All of the lake toys were such a nice surprise and happily used! The hot tub was wonderful, the games (cornhole, checkers on the table, and the arcade game!) were fabulous! I haven't played Tetris since I was a teen and it was so fun to revisit. We did not turn the television on one time. So close to Windrock and really fun to visit Oak Ridge and learn all about the Manhattan Project there. We will definitely come again! Hopefully, with more people to share the fabulousness of it!

This home has a great location and is very spacious . The house was also very well equipped . The owners had everything organized in the kitchen and had lots of extras . It was so nice of them to supply the coffee and hot apple cider . We enjoyed the hot tub and the lake . Thank you for the wonderful stay .

For our most recent visit to see our daughter at UT we decided to try this property and couldn’t be more glad that we did. The owners were super responsive and friendly, and checking in was a breeze. The home was sparkling clean, spacious, and comfortable. Being right on the water and getting to use the kayaks was a great perk. There were board games, bicycles, a fire pit, Cornhole boards and even a hot tub. Restaurants and shopping were a short drive from the house. All in all we had a great stay and will definitely be back.

Friendly, accommodating hosts, a comfortable and updated home and a perfect location - only minutes to Oak Ridge and Knoxville. Look no further! You won’t find a better spot!! 5 stars!

Family came to our son’s graduation. We had two sets of grandparents who are 80 years old to our 17 year old son. There were 9 staying in the house. Three young adult children slept on the three hid-a-beds in large family room that had a door. We cooked two dinners for the 9 plus others who came over and it was comfortable and kitchen and bbq were great. Easy to get to various places from the house too.

Kitchen was well appointed and appliances were new. Washer and dryer were conveniently located in the basement. There were also plenty of board games available in the hall closet if you are feeling competitive!
If you have a furry friend, there is an area that is fenced and is equipped with a separate can and bags for pet waste. It was wonderful to be able to bring the dog with us.
The highlight of the property is the beautiful boat dock and access to the lake. There are kayaks, paddleboards and brand new bikes and helmets. No one was bored!
Location of the lake house is perfect for a Knoxville trip. It was very easy to access the highway and there were plenty of grocery stores nearby.
I have stayed in many Vrbo homes and this was one of the finest. Tracy and Chuck were extremely responsive and have definitely cared and loved this home. Hope to stay again soon!

We came to Knoxville for a competition at Windrock and the cabins and hotels were already booked up. So I checked VRBO and found this house only 20 minutes from the park. Perfect for our group! Very nice house as pictured. Convenient location. Huge fenced in back yard area for the pup. Thanks y’all!
