Summary: The Junction tiny house is the perfect country getaway for fitness enthusiasts who like to take advantage of what the Yarra Valley has to offer. It is also for those who want to take in the sights and sounds of the country life and just relax and enjoy for what nature has to offer. There are so many options for whatever you choose to do. This area caters to all your required needs – just no hustle and bustle of city life. Welcome to country living! The Space: The Junction is a cozy studio space of 155 sqft, just an hour's drive from Yarra Ranges National Park passed by Blue Lotus Water Garden, La La Falls, and Cement Creek Redwood Forest. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, and heating. Perfect for 2 people. The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, a microwave, and even a mini fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximize space. The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment. If you plan to spend your tiny house Victoria retreats here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you! Guest Access: Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings including private access driveway and parking allocated to the tiny house. Guests are not allowed to wander around the host's private residence. The Neighborhood: Bring your bike or hire one from Girt by Dirt in Yarra Junction. Take a ride or walk along the rail trail O‘Shannassay Aqueduct trail, the Californian Redwood Forest Cement Creek or ride to the top of Mount Donna Buang. You may also choose to bring your horse and ride the trail. There is a fully fenced horse paddock with water troughs available. We are located in a quiet rural neighbourhood, just an hour's drive from Yarra Ranges National Park. Where you can pass by a few stunning attractions along the way such as Blue Lotus Water Garden, La La Falls, and Cement Creek Redwood Forest which all of our vacationers enjoy. Where to eat: - Wesburn is 3km away where you will find the Flying Apron Patisserie for everything delicious. - Walk to Gladysdale Bakery which is 1.5km away for an award-winning pie or brunch on the deck. - The Warburton Hotel Wesburn serves up some classic pub fair in the bistro with local wines to match your meal. - If you would like to walk to a bistro and grab a meal the Upper Yarra RSL is 300m away from the The Junction providing a selection of food without the hassle of driving - You can go to Millgrove Dairy for a handmade cheese selection and right next door is Yarra Valley Artisan Bakery for some great sourdough bread. Get in quick before it sells out - Ride or walk the rail trail to Yarra Junction or Warburton for a delicious breakfast and great coffee. For the best local roasted coffee and coffee tastings, I recommend Silva’s Coffee which is 1.5km away What to do: - Check murals painted on the old Warburton railway platform - Go to Warburton Township to eat, drink, and browse at interesting shops - Explore Warburton’s six bridges including the iconic swing bridge at the tennis courts - You may discover on your travels farm gate selling fresh local produce so be on the lookout for them. - There are plenty of wineries around if wine is your thing. Bulong Estate in Yarra Junction is the closest at 5 km away - You may also see the Ada Tree, a 300-year-old 76-metre-high tree with a one-acre root system. This is one of the largest in Victoria - Visit The Warburton Waterwheel Visitors Centre where you can see tourist information, art gallery, and local crafts - Go to the great steps of Warburton, a community art mosaic project at the Warburton Waterwheel - Redwood Forest at Cement Creek is a must-visit with 1500 heritage-listed trees planted in a grid formation - Go to Mt. Donna Buang for snow sights views of the valley and walks. The Rainforest Walk Gallery at Mt. Getting Around: Public Transport: - Bus - Nearest town Yara Junction - Driving times 2 minutes Other Things to Note: - No smoking allowed on the property - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - You may use the log outside as bike stand if you are bringing your bike - Please remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the property - Tiny home is positioned 100 meters from main home and backs onto netted orchard and shedding - Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics, close windows, and lock doors when leaving the house Horses Policy - Any damage done by horses shall be payable by the horse owner - Horse owners are advised to follow the house rules discussed with the land host - Horse owners are responsible of cleaning and picking up after their horses' manure - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge - Horse stay is at $30 per horse per night. There is a fully fenced paddock with water troughs available - Horse owner is to check the paddock and take full responsibility for any damage caused by their horse, excluding the property owner from any claims or damage to themselves or horse whilst using the paddock Important note: - Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more.
