The room was new and comfortable, and kept very clean. The beds were comfy. The location was great. The check in process easy, and we liked the small kitchen area. You can also do laundry in the laundry room here.
There are no TVs in the rooms unfortunately, though there are a few in the communal areas downstairs. Though there is a kitchen area, there are no hobs/pans to cook with and it is quite basic. The entire hotel is automated (check out/in, luggage storage, etc), so it can be hard to find a member of staff to talk to sometimes.

Convenient location for the city railway and bus stations plus the Opera House, Munch Museum and Library.
Rooms are clean, practical and functional.
Public areas are well laid out, offering kitchen facilities, TV lounge area and comfortable seating.
The access to adjacent dining facility offering tasty food and drinks is handy.
The road Skippergata faces the hotel main door, and at night the area turns a little unsavoury. Polite but frequent come ons from workers of the night aren't great.
Metal artwork in the room vibrated when other room doors were shut. Some guests are human, understand there are other guests around, and close room doors carefully. Many don't.
Room was also adjacent secondary lift shaft. Soundproofing good but combined with vibrating artwork and you have Avant Garde acoustics to sleep with.

Location is good. Hotel provides very convenient facilities and has very large common area. There is luggage room available for before and after check-in/out. This hotel use self-check in/out with staff support if you have problem.

The location is near to the train station
It was a bit noisy at night. There isn't any kitchen. Just microwave to heat up food.
