About this cottage rental

Situated in Sheffield, this attractive cottage for $281 per night is a great choice for your next break. Wyndell Cruck Cottage is a historic reverse-level cottage resting on the Wind Hall Farm in Midhopestones near Stocksbridge, South Yorkshire and can sleep nine people in three bedrooms. The living areas in the property consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dining seating for nine people, and a sitting room with TV, woodburning stove, books and games. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor twin with TV, a ground-floor family room with four singles, and a family room with three singles, along with a ground-floor shower room, ground-floor bathroom/utility with washing machine and tumble dryer, and an additional shower room. Outside there is a large garden with lawn and furniture, as well as ample off-road parking. Within 1.6 miles, you will find a shop, and within 1.2 miles, a pub, and please note that this is a non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Pets are not permitted at this property. Guests have use of the croft with a tree swing. There are two steps leading up to the family room on the ground-floor, please take care. The owner’s property is next door. Treat your loved ones to a truly unique stay in South Yorkshire at Wyndell Cruck Cottage. Amenities: Ground source heating with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs and woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. 1 x TVs, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Bike storage. Large rear garden with lawn and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1.6 miles, pub 1.2 miles. Note: Guests have use of the croft with a tree swing. Note: There are two steps leading up to the family room on the ground floor, please take care. Note: The owner's property is next door Please note - Built into the hillside, this 500 year old property has several levels internally as well as some low beams. Externally, ground surfaces are uneven. The 500m track from Oaks Lane to the Cruck Cottage will comfortably take a food supermarket delivery van or transit van, but nothing much wider. Sadly, Wyndell is probably not a good choice for those with mobility issues. Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales. Town: The gorgeous Peak District National Park borders Stocksbridge, a charming market town. Visitors can find a wide range of restaurants and stores in this bustling village, as well as numerous bridleways and footpaths. While Holmfirth's 'Last of the Summer Wine' landscape is easily accessible, nearby dams such as the Underbank, Langsett, Broomhead and Moorhall provide interesting afternoon rambles. The proximity of the M1 means that Sheffield, Leeds, York, and the rest of Yorkshire's spectacular countryside may be easily accessed by lengthy walks, mountain biking, and visits to Hathersage, Bakewell, Edale, and the Ladybower Dam.
