The house is located on a hilltop, enjoying beautiful views of the village, the sea, and the mountains. The house is 200 meters from the port and easily accessible. Shops are nearby.

Our time at Villa Alma was exceptionally enjoyable. The residence is beautifully and tastefully decorated, making every space feel wonderful. The beds are super comfy and the air con works super well.We spent afternoons lazing around the front verandah, plonking in and out of the small, yet perfectly adequate, pool. Each of the double bedrooms has its own bathroom facilities attached, the twin room has its own bathroom at the bottom of the adjoining stairs.The kitchen is really well equipped and we did eat in one night and found everything we needed … and Corinne has some great basics available like oil, vinegars, herbs and tea & coffee.There’s a fantastic supermarket/deli and bottle shop nearby for any supplies too.It’s an easy stroll from the Port, approx 200m up a slightly sloping cobbled stone road, then you take a set of stairs leading up the small hill to the villa which gave us a little bit of exercise daily.Check-in was easy, Anita was most attentive. Our donkey-man Mario met us at the Port to take our luggage … giving us an immediate insight into the uniqueness of Hydra.The views from the villa are quite something. We just totally fell in love with Villa Alma and the island of Hydra and are very happy to recommend it highly.You’ll love it too!

We had a wonderful week of relaxation. The house sits up above the town square. You must be able to walk up hills and climb stairs, there is no option. The house was open with beautiful views. A perfect place for a family gathering.

Gorgeous villa, decorated in a bright and breezy style. A 10 minute walk to the harbour.Everything was perfect. Our only suggestion is that it would be good if the mid week clean could include changing bath towels. Other than that, our stay was enjoyed by our party very much.

We’ve visited Hydra 4 times and this was by far the best place we have stayed. Spacious, well-designed, in immaculate order. We couldn’t recommend it more highly and will definitely book again.
