Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve stayed at several places on LL and this is among my faves. It doesn’t have quite the “panoramic lake” view others have as it is recessed somewhat in a small cove, but the overall appeal was nice. We liked the layout of the home, the patio/porch area, and the view out into the lake were all enjoyable. The one downside of the house is that the porch door handles will let you out even though they are locked. Twice I walked out onto the porch and unknowingly pulled the door closed behind me. Fortunately, my wife was still inside (and left me outside 🤣). Either these handles should be replaced or a note put on the door. That aside, I’m planning on staying here again in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Will definitely stay at this home again and highly recommend it. The home was exactly as described and was perfect for our family get together. Ample room and perfect layout for my wife and I plus my two children and their families. In total 6 adults and 2 children under 3. The second level was perfect for my children and their families. The Master BR is on the main level and accessible from the driveway with no need for steps. Plenty of parking for our 3 large vehicles and more. Very nice location and fairly convenient, not very far from the Flower bridge and Chimney Rock. The property is not new but has been well maintained, was clean, and very nice. We enjoyed fires in the outdoor fireplace every evening. My kids enjoyed using the 2 canoes on Lake Lure. The property manager was very helpful.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was perfect for our multi-generational family. Everyone had a room and space to live and great gathering places to spend time together as a family. They had everything that we needed for the stay and it was one of the best vacations we've had. Just heads up that if you have Verizon cell phone service there is NO SERVICE at Lake Lure. I was very greatful from a safety stand point to have wifi in case of an emergency.

My husband and I met with our youngest son and his family while our 3 grandkids were on fall break. The house was very comfortable and well stocked and the weather (except one rainy day) was crisp and perfect! My husband and I are both late 60's and if you aren't fit, the stairs up from the dock can be challenging, but definitely got our steps in!

I got this property thinking I will get access to the water like all other neighboring rentals. But, the access was restricted by the property manager so did not get to take advantage of the beautiful lake.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked a Lake Lure vacation in general based on a friend's recommendation. However, since he stayed, the rules have changed. Anyone operating a motorized boat must take a safe boating course and pass an online class. You must get and pay for a permit ($60 per day for any day a motorized boat is in the water) but you cannot get a permit for the weekend unless you own property in Lake Lure. This does not apply to boats that are made available through rental houses. If the house you rent does not have canoes, stand up paddle boards, or kayaks, and you bring your own, that's $25 per day per item. You are not allowed to wakeboard or tube unless you are a resident of Lake Lure, regardless of the permits and licenses you have obtained. Had we known about the ridiculous rules, we would not have come. The house was OK but dated and needed upgrades. The master bath shower floor was a fall hazard it was so worn and slick. The mattress in one bedroom was so bad my daughter moved it onto the floor to sleep. The house sleeps 11, but there aren't that many plates. We were only 8 and were constantly washing dishes. We tried using the canoes, but they were full of spiders, my granddaughter was bitten, but there was no hose or way to wash them down. This would all be par for the course, but the house was quite expensive. We went up Chimney Rock, hiked to a waterfall, played golf, kayaked (our own) and took our boat out all around the lake and swam. We ate at the Highlands Kitchen, which was good. We made smores at the outdoor fireplace.
