1. Door knob broke off at arrival. 2. Repairmen came and partially fixed the door(backwards) so did not work properly entire visit. 3. There was a chirping noise coming from bedroom fireplace, repairman removed batteries for a quick fix of noise. 4. Heater did not work entire visit. Repairmen came and said it needed a specialist. Temps were 61 degrees in the rooms without space heaters. 5. We were given two space heaters to heat the house. No one ever returned to fix the fireplace or heater. We stayed 6 days/5 nights. 6. I asked to heat the pool for a portion of my stay. Was told all 6 days or nothing. 7. Cockroaches were seen 4 times of my stay. 8. I do not feel this home was worth the amount I paid, it needs serious maintenance done to bring it up to standards.

This was a nice house to stay for a few days while visiting San Diego. The backyard is nice however those pretty flowers you see in the pics are airbrushed in. The pool looked a tad tired and so did the outdoor furniture. The pool was warm and I didn’t request it be heated. The interior was nice. The master bath was the nicest. The beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and this house is very private. It’s nice to not have cameras everywhere & I didn’t notice any here. A big negative is La Jolla is a pain to get in & out of. You’ll need 20 minutes to get to most other places around SD because of this.

This was the first time we rented a home and we were pleasantly surprised. Here are some things that might be helpful: Pool- My husband and I stayed here with our 8, 5 and 1 year old and they swam in the pool everyday. We didn’t have it heated, but it was surprisingly warm even with 69-72 degree weather. The pool and hot tub were well kept and there was a pool cleaner who came on Thursday which was nice. The pool area was not quite as pictured- the flower wall is now palm plants and the lounge chairs are mismatched- but we didn’t mind. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and we couldn’t believe how private the yard is. The bamboo makes it a private oasis which we loved! House- the house was as pictured. Very comfortable for our family of 5. The couch is so comfortable, we want to buy one for our home. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of items we didn’t expect. The spoons were getting low, but other than that everything exceeded expectations. Neighborhood- this neighborhood was awesome. Quiet, residential area and the yard and pool were surprisingly secluded. We didn’t walk to the beach, but it would have been an easy walk to Windansea beach. We could drive to everything easily. La Jolla was 4-9 minutes to our favorite juice place, beaches, tide pools and La Jolla Cove. Windansea was beautiful but we only went at lower tides when the sand appears. Beautiful sunsets there and we got lucky enough to see a SpaceX launch! La Jolla Shores beach was a short drive and great for kids. La Jolla tide pools was a lot of fun, childrens beach was great to see seals, but the gem for us was La Jolla cove. We went on a sunny day and it was magnificent to Wade/swim with the sea lions. Nice little cave to left of the beach to go in and see tide pools and sea life. Not sure if it is there at high tide or if we went at low tide. The water was turquoise in the sun and it was heavenly. The zoo and USS midway were an easy 20-30 minute drive. Coronado beach was beautiful and had gold flecks all through the same which sparkle like glitter. It was beautiful and there were fun tide pools by the rocks by hotel del Coronado at low tide. La Jolla: great town with shops and restaurants. Everyone is incredibly nice! Food: We enjoyed Harumama for adorable character buns and sushi, Duke’s had great fish and chips and key lime pie, the taco stand had the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. The Promiscuous fork is a great restaurant right down the street. There is also a little market and Nautilus tavern which we didn’t try. Overall: We absolutely loved it! The house was so comfortable and felt like home. No one wanted to leave and I we would absolutely book this home again.

Love the house, the pool, the hottub , the location. Don't like when the code to get into the house doesn't work and nobody responds for 1.5hours with newborn. Also 4 towels for 7 guests is not enough, no body wash, no extra garbage bags...

The outdoor spaces were lovely and created such a great vibe, especially with the beautiful weather! We enjoyed the kitchen and open spaces for the group we had. The home was big enough for the eight of us to all feel comfortable. With understanding of the home being pet-friendly, we expected some hair, but there was lots of hair in the sheets and bedding, and on most of the furniture. Not sure what happened with the home’s locks but we sat outside for close to an hour trying to get into the place when we first arrived with the codes provided. We received four codes via text before it finally worked.
