I stayed here with my extended family over a weekend and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations and location! The layout allowed each of our families time to ourselves (and our own beds) while also having a great room and outdoor areas that were perfect for gathering. I am picky about where we stay and this checked all my boxes. We were able to go down to the river, did some hiking, watched the wildlife, and enjoyed the sound of rain through the trees. It felt like being in the Black Hills without the 6 hour drive. We’ll definitely be back to “the treehouse” in the future!

Overall the property was gorgeous! It is tucked away so it is quiet but close to any main attraction! I loved being able to walk up the stairs and look out every window and see some type of wildlife! The house was perfect for the girls weekend! Would recommend staying here to anyone! We will be back!

Not only was the property secluded, extremely clean, and decorated wonderfully, the layout was awesome for two families and every detail was considered… from nightlights in the rooms, to fire pit and beautiful patio, and well stocked kitchen. This is my second time staying at the property and it was excellent both times.

This cabin in the woods was perfect! When you’re on the main floor it’s like your in a tree house. We loved the fire pit and the location. We also loved the decor. It was such a well designed space. Beautiful.

Every couple of years, our in-laws get together for a few days. This property was the perfect size for us, and for a great price! The open kitchen/dining/ living area was so nice, with all the needed amenities. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and linen closets were stocked well. I appreciated the books in the lower bedroom. We had an issue with lighting the beautiful gas fire pit, but the owners fixed it the next day! The outdoor area was wonderfully decorated, and we loved seeing deer families and tons of turkeys! Each morning I had my cup of coffee by the fire pit accompanied by hundreds of songbirds. ❤️ The only suggestions we have; a night table and lamp in the downstairs queen bedroom, and curtains or shades by the dining table for the hot afternoon sun. Thank you for having a fantastic VRBO!

This was fantastic for our use. Lots of bunk beds for the little ones, a wonderful great room to assemble, and a fantastic back yard and deck, complete with grill. Private, but with friendly neighbors.

Our adult nieces from North Dakota and Aberdeen and their families stayed with us here. (Ended up with 6 adults and 2 children) Family from Tabor and Huron visited on Saturday afternoon. The house was wonderful and we found everything we needed for relaxing. The kids (and adults!) enjoyed the wildlife in the area and took a walk in the afternoon. Great kitchen and dining space for meals and the bedrooms and bathrooms were well furnished and charming. Even cuter than the pictures online could show! Directions to the cabin were easy to follow and GPS worked in this area. It was sure handy being able to unload the car right into the garage since it was snowy and windy when we arrived. Parking was excellent. We would love to stay here again!

We flew in from Florida to have an early Thanksgiving celebration with our family. The property was very clean & exactly as the pictures depicted. The Grandkids loved the bunkbeds & we all enjoyed seeing so many turkeys & deer come through the yard! We also had fun playing the many games that were there for our use too! The kitchen & bathrooms had all the necessities needed. It was so peaceful & we really enjoyed our stay here! Thank you for making our stay so easy & comfortable.

Very Clean and Nicely done. We only had 4 guys on a hunting trip but the bedrooms were set up nicely for families to enjoy. It was a very peaceful setting. I only wish we would have had more time to spend relaxing in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay!! The cabin was incredibly clean and beautifully styled. The space was large enough for 10 of us to enjoy without being on top of each other. I loved the outdoor area as well, kids spent time exploring while we were able to enjoy the fire pit/patio. Would definitely stay again!

We had an incredible time! We really enjoyed the wooded location and saw deer and turkey twice a day. Gorgeous waking up to beautiful views on the deck. Lovely fire pit. Just a wonderful vibe for a family trip! Amazing kitchen to cook in as well.

This property was in a lovely place. So many trees that provided lovely shade and a place to hang hammocks, wild turkeys and deer seen more than once. It was well kept up. It was fairly well-stocked in the kitchen. The bean bag game was a big hit. The grill was nice and clean. Appreciated being able to dry beach towels. A couple of constructive criticism comments: the upstairs shower could use a Drano treatment. The chairs outside need some attention because some screws are loose and the arms have either fallen off or are close. The downstairs stool seat is loose. You could use a few more towels in the kitchen and more hand towels in the bathrooms. The air conditioner couldn't keep up on the really hot days. We were worried about the propane fire pit because we could smell propane quite often. Eventually we just turned it off, but could still smell the propane. Wonderful spot in the trees, close to the lake, nature trail and disc golf course. Lots of fun family activities in the area. House is clean, well equipped and beds are arranged for a variety of options. Very comfortable for our three generation family vacation.

Our stay here at Shady Creek Cabin was nothing short of ideal. It was a quaint getaway and truly secluded tucked away in trees. This provided shade and privacy from other cabins. The inside was super cute and very clean! Everything functioned and worked wonderfully. Cornhole games, gas fire pit with comfy chairs, and a great open floor plan make it perfect for hosting a fun getaway. Everyone also loved the cute house bunk bed. The owners of this cabin sincerely put a lot of effort in every detail of this cabin to make it a perfect stay for their guests! Thank you Molly & Darin for a wonderful stay!

Great location, in the woods but only minutes from a beach and playground for children. Large, clean and airy with a lovely deck to watch the wildlife. We loved having two levels, so the kids could stay downstairs. Also helpful to have a large kitchen. It was everything promised and more! I will definitely book for future visits to the area.
